How about starting the game with Pennington but committing to Clemens for the second quarter of each game? Who ever has the better quarter gets the start for the second half. This way at the very least Clemens gets some playing time, with the possibility of winning the starting job outright. If Chad does so much better the experiment can be halted after a few games.

Platooning QBs rarely works in college. It's disastrous in the NFL.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. After a few weeks a winner can be declared. If it is about even I would go with Clemens so that he can get experience.

Yeah, and I don't know why. Warner is clearly the better choice right now. Two weeks in a row he has had to come on to bail them out. He did it this week and almost did last week.

Since when have the Arizona Cardinals set NFL standards for excellence? Spurrier did something similar when he was in Washington, with predictably disastrous results.
