Pat Kirwan has the Bills selecting Adrian Peterson with there pick. Now some may say he is a top 5 player and all. But with all the FA signings at Running Back this off season he might still be around for the 12 pick. Now if we thought that Willis McGahee was bad this guy would be like 10 times worse in my opinion. How would we even go about defending a guy like that. All answers are welcomed.... This topic is now open for discussion.............. http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/10056634
that COULD happen, but I doubt it will. I would have said 0% chance just 2 weeks ago, but now I could say like 10-20% chance he could fall there. None of the teams in front of them NEED a RB, so it is possible, but I don't think they would pass him up, even if they don't necessarily NEED a RB. If he doesnt go to the Browns (which I still think he will), he would go to Minnesotta. If they don't take him, Houston might still take him, so I don't see it possible. 75% chance Cleveland takes him if he is there 80% chance Minny takes him if he is still there 60% chance Houston takes him if he is still there 100% chance Buffalo takes him if he is still there So basically, Peterson will most likely go to one of the teams in front, but it is definitely a possibility that Peterson falls.
bills gonna trade up. but it wont be for peterson or that high.. ill bet anything there targeting lynch now. but so are the packers. ethier way som e team is gonna get screwed into drafting one of them questionable 2nd rd running backs.
1. Raiders Dominic Rhodes 2. Detroit Kevin Jones 3. Cleveland Jamal Lewis 4. Tampa Cadillac Williams 5. Arizona Edgrin James 6. Washington Bets/Portis 7. Minnesota Chestor Taylor 8. Houston Ahmad Green 9. Miami Ronnie Brown 10. Atlanta Warrick Dunn 11. San Fran Frank Gore Now these are the current runningbacks for there teams or newly acquired through FA. You might say detriot needs a running back but there Qb situation is far worse. Cleveland has jamal lewis and i think he has some running left to due. Maybe atlanta but the got jerious norwood last year to replace warrick dunn when he is done. So just maybe he gets all the way down there. Look at Matt Leinhart strange things do happen ....
I'm going to go ahead and say that Cleveland takes Adrian Peterson. They only signed Jamal Lewis to a 1 year deal, so that means that he isn't their long-term answer. If he drops past Cleveland, look for Buffalo to trade up to that spot using their #12 selection and their two 3rd round choices.
i hope he does go earlier i sure dont want him in our division only way i would say so is if he is on our team.
cleveland wont pass on peterson, but just incase they do...then there is no way houston passes on reggie bush and then adrian peterson in back to back years and peterson is a top 3 talent....which means other teams would be more than willing to move up if he falls
I definately still see him going to the Browns. This year he will learn a lot from Jamal Lewis when rotating in and out with him. I'm pretty sure Lewis proved over the past couple years that his career is on its way down. He will play a similar role to Reggie Bush in playing time (not as many touches because they wont throw the ball to him nearly as much as Bush) and will probably take over as the featured back after this season. If somehow, someway the Bills pick him up with their pick i'll be so pissed. If they traded up, however, i wouldn't be nearly as mad.
The day that Peterson falls past the #8 pick is the day hell freezes over. I don't think he'll even make it past Cleveland, and there's still an outside chance that Oakland grabs him with the #1 pick.
If he gets by Cleveland I think Arizona is a likely trading partner. With Joe Thomas probably already gone the smart thing for the Cardinals would be to trade down, acquire some extra picks and take Levi Brown.
