Well, Thanks for all the info on hotels and places to go in the city. I am now in the Sheraton Meadowlands lobby typing you guys and I am suprised to see that the Raiders are not here. Apparently renovations to the Hotel have scared them away.

For what it's worth I did meet a few Washington Capitals.

I was hoping to get the Raiders drunk at the bar and maybe hinder their playing on Sunday. LOL!

Raiders probably won't arrive in NJ till Saturday afternoon or evening. I was in that same hotel for the night of the Rutgers-WVU game.

Nice place I must say. But , the desk already told me they booked another hotel. He said they book months in advance.

Haha - I am! I've also been to Mardis Gras on Fat Tuesday weekend. That's the worst I've ever seen. What's the view like from 34th?

Appreciate the input. I've heard both good and bad and I'm still trying to decide. Is 34th too far away to enjoy?

I found it to be hilarious with drunkards all over the place. I wouldn't do it again, though. Three times was plenty.

For anybody who may fear the large crowd in Times Square- it is child's play compared to the mess in Washington D.C. after the fireworks display.

i would say so. plus don't forget you can't just decide to walk up a street. there is a huge police presence and they can make you walk our of your way.

It's starting to sound like it's more trouble than its worth. I'm thinking of dropping some money next year and actually stay in TS. But I thought it would be great to see the Jets game and then ring in the New Year as close to TS as possibe.
