Just wanted to let everyone in this crowd know that I 100% support Joe Douglas and think he will absolutely hit an even bigger home run in this draft. All you critics will be made to look like fools through time. I've never had a single doubt since JD took over that he was the right guy for this team. Meanwhile, wtf is Mike Macagnan doing these days? Selling life insurance? Lol What an incompetent meathead he was. JD is still to this day trying to clean up his f*cking mess. Be cheerful Jets fans today is a very big day for us and JD is the captain of this boat.....

I would only say that between JD and Mac who would fit the description “meathead”.

Listen, I hear you. We are all full of hope tonight but don't forget we are coming off 2 subpar seasons with Joe D overseeing everything. Let's win something before we throw stones at Joe D's critics.

I've been very critical of JD, and I'm not sure that'll change much for me after this draft. A monkey could pick great players at 4 and 10, and there will be 2 more good ones at the top of the 2nd. Hopefully he can turn this ship around, but that wont change what he did (and what he didnt do) these first few years. He has an opportunity here, but the last few years should've gone better and he is directly responsible for that.

When JD screws up the first round having two high picks going into round two should mitigate the pain tonight.

JD blew our one real shot at keeping up with the other AFC powerhouses when he didn't trade the 2nd pick last year, and instead rushed us into a one year wonder, over drafted QB. I knew then that we weren't going anywhere under his guidance. If we make a single WC appearance during his tenure I'll be impressed.

I would think the Mechi Bechton pick working out is a big deal for how you evaluate him..

I think him taking Wilson was a great move, that dude is gonna be great.

If we had traded down from two last year we could have gotten Baker Mayfield for cheap this year.

So to clarify, we’d be keeping up with the AFC powerhouses if we were heading into this draft with no QB?

We could have had so much, even been in play for Jackson, Russell Wilson, etc. And we'd have basically cleaned up in last draft and this draft.

Also hype kills us. People say this is a weak QB year, yet 5 are first round QB prospects. Last year we were told was a strong QB year, and look how well the top prospects performed. I'm pretty sure at least 2 QBs this year will end up as good or better than the top guys last year. And the teams that get them wont have had to spend big capital for all the hype. We never use hype to our advantage, and instead just get sucked into it, like suckers.

What are the three positions we're allegedly targeting at 4 and 10? Edge, WR, and OT.

What positions did we take with Douglas' first 2 picks as Jets GM? WR and OT.

Is having the lowest rated starting QB better than having no QB? Because, you know, potential.

We could have cleaned up on skill players last draft and added picks 16, 19, and 51 to this draft.

You're speaking about a whole lot of "ifs" as if they were "for sures".

Well, if Zach becomes the mini Mahomes we were promised I'll eat my words.

Notice I still had to use the word "if".

I just can't understand how someone thinks we'd be hanging with the AFC powerhouses if we went into a bad QB draft with no QB. Well I do know how... they assume we would have drafted the best skill position players as well as traded for multiple first round picks and then hit on those as well. AKA, not the real world.
