I'm happy the Pats closed the gap and sent it to overtime....I'm happy the Jets didn't rout the Pats and heres why.... If the Jets ran the Pats off the field everyone would say it was because theyre hurt...Cassell had a great game...it was close and the jets took it in OT in dramatic fashion...THEREFORE IT HURTS!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I don't think the injury excuse would have come up but now that we won it was a good thing winning in this fashion b/c it was a gut check win.
^ur right. Its more enjoyable for us and more painful for them. And that, my friend, is what i call a total victory
I agree-- in past years the Jets would have curled up in a ball in OT after that Moss TD-- this year we won the toss, drove down the field and won the game. That is something different. We got the W on the road, in our personal abattoir.
dude the fate of the game pretty much came down to a goddamn coin flip. i'd take running the clock out anyday. that just shows we control the game, especially in the trenches, where it counts the most.
Now they'll just say we barely squeaked out a win against a banged up Pats team. But F the critics, first place!
We're banged up too. Our Defensive captain and MLB is out. Coles and Cotch are both sore, dealing with lingering issues. Fact is we went up to Foxboro and took first place from their azzes
