I usually don't drop these since there are so many, but why not? 1) Carolina Panthers - Cam Newton, QB Auburn 2) Denver Broncos - Marcell Dareus, DT Alabama 3) Buffalo Bills - Von Miller, LB Texas A&M 4) Cincinnati Bengals - AJ Green, WR Georgia 5) Arizona Cardinals - Patrick Peterson, CB LSU 6) Cleveland Browns - Julio Jones, WR Alabama 7) San Francisco 49ers - Prince Amukamara, CB Nebraska 8) Tennessee Titans - Nick Fairley, DT Auburn 9) MINNESOTA VIKINGS - Blaine Gabbert, QB Missouri 10) Washington Redskins - Robert Quinn, DE/OLB UNC 11) DETROIT LIONS - Tyron Smith, OT USC 12) DALLAS COWBOYS - JJ Watt, DE Wisconsin 13) HOUSTON TEXANS - Aldon Smith, DE Missouri 14) St Louis Rams - Corey Liuget, DT Illinois 15) Miami Dolphins - Mike Pouncey, OG Florida 16) Jacksonville Jaguars - Ryan Kerrigan, DE Purdue 17) New England Patriots - Cameron Jordan, DE Kal 18) San Diego Chargers - Anthony Costanzo, OT Boston College 19) New York Giants - Gabe Carimi, OT Wisconsin 20) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Daquan Bowers, DE Clemson 21) Kansas City Chiefs - Akeem Ayers, OLB UCLA 22) Indianapolis Colts - Nate Solder, OT Colorado 23) Philadelphia Eagles - Jimmy Smith, CB Colorado 24) New Orleans Saints - Mo Wilkerson, DT Temple 25) Seattle Seahawks - Colin Kaepernick, QB Nevada 26) Baltimore Ravens - Brandon Harris, CB Miami 27) Atlanta Falcons - Adrian Clayborn, DL Iowa 28) New England Patriots - Mark Ingram, RB Alabama 29) Chicago Bears - Marvin Austin, DT North Carolina 30) TENNESSEE TITANS - Andy Dalton, TCU 31) Pittsburgh Steelers - Derrek Sherrod, OT Miss St 32) Green Bay Packers - Cameron Heyward, DE Ohio St Minnesota trades #12 and a 2012 2nd rounder to Dallas move up to #9 Detroit trades #13 and its 4th rounder to move up to #11 ahead of Dallas Tennessee trades its 2nd rounder (39) and 3rd rounder (77) to the Jets for #30. Big overpayment as a product of the screwy QB situation this offseason as multiple teams make calls to move up. With #39, the Jets select Phil Taylor, NT Baylor.
Solid mock, a lot of similar picks in my mock. I like the idea of trading out of Rd 1, but would have a difficult time passing on Heyward. I have some concerns about Taylor, but getting him in Rd 2 and picking up a 3rd round pick eases my concern. IMO, Taylor isn't a 1st Round player.
As do I. I think once Seattle goes QB, the phone starts ringing for teams at the end of Rd 1. Teams like the Titans wont want to sit behind the other QB needy teams in Rd 2. I honestly think it's more likely that another team makes the trade and we end up with Heyward, but I'd love if the Titans overbid as well. It's looking like a win-win at the spot.
The more QBs drafted ahead of the Jet's at #30 pushes good players down to us. BTW, a hot new rumor...Titans are considering Andy Dalton at #8.
I'm sorry but that would be just laughable. Not saying Dalton is a bad player but with the amount of great talent that would be there at 8 it would be beyond foolish for them.
Good mock. With the uncertainty of labor situation, and so many teams needing a QB, the teams are playing more liars poker than ever. Where these QB's go or don't go is going to drive entire first round. I love the Vikings trade up for Gabbert. Can almost see the fire shooting out of Shanahan's ass if that happens. Hard to pass up Heyward, but a team likely to overpay as you indicated. You think Tenn would go Dalton over Mallet or Ponder? I'm not sold on Mallet, but for some reason like the thought of him learning behind Collins for a bit.
That would be crazy! We'd be in great shape at 30 if they did, though. That would all but ensure 4 QBs taken by 25 since I've heard Seattle has Kaepernick at #2 on their board at the position. Titans are in such a tough spot. They know they can't possibly sit tight where they are in Rd 2 and get the QB they want.
Hey you know what if teams that need Qbs and defensive lineman are willing to pass on more talented lineman for shaky Qb's that means someone we wish we could have is more likely to fall to us
I'm not sure where to put Mallett. He has the talent to be one of the two best in this draft, but at the same time he could just as easily destroy himself. I'm not sure where teams start to value his risk against the reward.
Figured I'd try one out with Dareus going at the top and the Kaepernick to Miami/Taylor to KC rumors. I could actually see Dalton going at 8 if Fairley goes early. No trades in place here. 1) Carolina Panthers - Marcell Dareus, DT Alabama 2) Denver Broncos - Von Miller, LB Texas A&M 3) Buffalo Bills - AJ Green, WR Georgia 4) Cincinnati Bengals - Nick Fairley, DT Auburn 5) Arizona Cardinals - Cam Newton, QB Auburn 6) Cleveland Browns - Julio Jones, WR Alabama 7) San Francisco 49ers - Patrick Peterson, CB LSU 8) Tennessee Titans - Andy Dalton, QB TCU 9) Dallas Cowboys - Prince Amukamara, CB Nebraska 10) Washington Redskins - Blaine Gabbert, QB Missouri 11) Houston Texans - Aldon Smith, DE Missouri 12) Minnesota Vikings - Cam Jordan, DE Cal 13) Detroit Lions - Tyron Smith, OT USC 14) St Louis Rams - Corey Liuget, DT Illinois 15) Miami Dolphins - Colin Kaepernick, QB Nevada 16) Jacksonville Jaguars - Ryan Kerrigan, DE Purdue 17) New England Patriots - Mike Pouncey, OG Florida 18) San Diego Chargers - JJ Watt, DE/OLB Wisconsin 19) New York Giants - Anthony Costanzo, OT Boston College 20) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Daquan Bowers, DE Clemson 21) Kansas City Chiefs - Phil Taylor, NT Baylor 22) Indianapolis Colts - Nate Solder, OT Colorado 23) Philadelphia Eagles - Jimmy Smith, CB Colorado 24) New Orleans Saints - Mo Wilkerson, DT Temple 25) Seattle Seahawks - Jake Locker, QB Washington 26) Baltimore Ravens - Brandon Harris, CB Miami 27) Atlanta Falcons - Adrian Clayborn, DL Iowa 28) New England Patriots - Cameron Heyward, DE Ohio St 29) Chicago Bears - Marvin Austin, DT North Carolina 30) New York Jets - Akeem Ayers, OLB UCLA 31) Pittsburgh Steelers - Derrek Sherrod, OT Miss St 32) Green Bay Packers - Gabe Carimi, OT Wisconsin
