But, but... we're still trying to be run first.... It's not working. Gameplan sucks. Run first down, run second... then pass punt
What has he done wrong this game? The interception wasn't his fault. The protection has been horrible.
I think its the playcallingg and blocking. He was getting murdered because of guys coming off the edge allll night, and the plays he had time nobody was even remotely close to open. They dont have em roll out nearly enough as they should either
It's the same story every fucking time the Jets play a good QB/offense, the defense keeps them in the game while the offense fucks around for half/three quarters of the game and then all of a sudden the defense is out of gas and can't make a stop. Fucking seen this script time and time again including both Patriots games this year. Sanchez can't run an effective offense unless the Jets are down by double digits.
Anyone who is blaming Sanchez for this loss is delusional and are kidding themselves and looking for a scapegoat. Sanchez is way below the totem pole on the to blame list.
Lets see - Horrible tackle play where scrubs like Anderson and Carter got to Sanchez in a 3-5 second span. Wayne Hunter got beat to a drum.....AGAIN. - Holmes looking lost on audible calls and in turn balls that Holmes needs to make a break on that isn't happening - Greene and LT dropping short passes, one of which bobbles into the air for an NE turnover
Throwing a pick-six right in front of him wasn't his fault, really? Not to mention that stupid timeout before the half that started the Jets' series of implosions and gave the Patriots an extra four points on that last drive.
No. You are delusional. He has played pretty well. You do realize that he's had a total of 2 seconds every single snap before he's hit? The amount of drops by the RB's is unbelievable and the cause of his first pick. To everyone saying we should move on for Sanchez and talking of "suck for luck"- get a fucking grip on reality and actually watch the game. Clearly he is not our biggest problem. On offense, drops, terrible pass protection and play calling is what killed us. We were running at will and then we pass for three and out. Schotty for ya
Sanchez holds the ball way too long, and while the Greene INT was certainly on him, it was also a terrible pass. He fired it right into his facemask as he was turning around from 4 yards away. I just don't buy into this fairy tale that the Sanchez defenders want to spin that if Sanchez ever has to deal with any pressure he's automatically removed from any blame about poor offensive performance. Every QB in the league has to deal with pressure and Sanchez folds up at the first sign of it a lot more than most.
lol even if the Jets lost the last eight games of the year they wouldn't be bad enough to approach the top draft pick. That's not the issue, they're not getting a better QB next year. But expectations might have to be tempered a bit, at least for this year.
So are we saying now that we need a new quarterback? Even though we've had some decent success over the last few years? Let me ask this, WHO else can we trot out there and how much longer are you willing to wait to develop another quarterback for this team. Sanchez is our guy. - And this post isn't in direct response to that quote only. I get the feel some folks here really disapprove of our starting QB and want someone else out there.
