So i was spygating patsfans.com out of boredom and besides the fact that they talk about the jets almost as much as they do the patriots, i found one topic that was kinda interesting. If Vick starts do you all think he's the best QB in the division to ever play vs Brady since 01? (bills n dolls included) Keep in mind Brady was hurt the year favre was here.. so i guess that wouldnt count.
People really over rate the value that Michael Vick brings to the QB position at this point. He's a decent QB who can do great things or terrible things depending on what the situation is and how lucky or unlucky he gets. He's a huge improvement over the Jets backup QB's of the past decade. He'll help us out if he needs to play. He's no way, no how the best QB to play in the AFC East other than Tom Brady over the last decade or so. In no particular order: Brett Favre and Chad Pennington were better than what he brings to the table at this point. Everybody the Fins and the Bills have started over the last decade with the exception of Chad in 2008 have been crappy QB's or guys still trying to prove themselves. So if Vick is an improvement over those guys that's not saying much. I think Vick is a huge addition to the Jets. If he plays I won't be worried about the QB position unless he gets hurt. I won't expect him to be the savior either. His track record doesn't support that concept.
I'd say Pennington, i guess, was the best QB not named Brady in the AFC east since 01 ... which is kinda pathetic but whatever. 2010 vick was better than pennington ever was though i know that much.
If Vick starts that basically means Geno is injured or completley shit the bed by week 8.For all our sakes I hope we never have to see Vick take the field,that will mean that Genos not the guy and we will be looking for a QB in 2015.By the way I don't think Genos the guy but I still hope he proves everyone wrong
Yes Vick is the best , but can we keep him after this season. JK I hope Geno rocks it this year,but if he doesn't then Rex should put in Vick. If Rex does indeed replace Geno for bad play, then Rex has grown as a HC.
