Okay, let's talk football. I agree that there was never an open competition. There were also comments about how Vick never really attempted to put any pressure on the Jets to be the starter. Why should they take a guy seriously who doesn't even prepare for a game? Judging by his behavior on the sidelines, he actually looks more like he is listening to self improvement tapes with a cleverly hidden earpiece than he is actually paying attention to the game. He's sitting there staring at his shoes every time the camera cuts to him. Very hungry player you have a mancrush on, there. And for the record, I was in favor of a real QB competition, because I have never been sold on Geno.
There's been a lot of talk since Idzik came aboard about Qb competition, no guaranteed jobs (like in the past) Christ he wouldn't even name a starter week to week last year and it was total bullshit. This organization doesn't know how to run a fair Qb competition they just talk the talk. Would Vick have beaten Geno out if there had been one. I really don't know because it never existed.
Sanchez should have been retained, thats the truth. Idzik chose Vick over Sanchez. And you can say that they wanted to move on, but wasnt he on the Jets during all of last season?!?! He was the better option, oh well. I hope Arizona trades for Mark so he can go win that Super Bowl, (doubt the Eagles give him to a NFC team, but ya never know).
