If the Raiders beat the Patriots, is next week worthless?

With the Jets 9-5 and the Dolphins 9-5, wouldn't a Patriots loss make the Seahawks game worthless win-loss wise?

By the way, Seattle won against St.Louis 23-20, so they got Holmgren another win.

no we're still in the wild card race anyway, especially if the ravens lose today

Yes it would be even if the dolphins won but if we lose to the Hawks do you really think this team can then go on to beat the fins?

Haha I am not saying to rest our starters. All I meant was, say the Patriots lose today, win the final 2 and are 10-6.

Then the Dolphins beat KC, Jets lose to Seattle.

Then the Jets beat Miami, each are 10-6, Jets keep tie-breaker and win Division.

Cuz lets say the Pats lose today(unlikely)

    Next week
    Jets lose, Fins win

Wouldn't the last week still be for the division even if the Pats won next week? I think the Jets have the tie breaker over both(NE and MIA) if they are tied.

Worthless? I dont know about that

KC is a funny one. If they can beat San Diego they can beat Miami but I can see Miami kicking the shit out of them

I wouldn't call it worthless and I think it is going to be hard but I think we will win easy

Again, I don't mean playing the game is worthless. I am just saying in theory, the division could still go to the Jets with NE losing any of their final 3 and the Jets beating Miami.

yeah but if a cat doesnt shit then it is going to die

we could be 14-0 right now and I would still want a win next week

haha as do I. I am just saying, in terms of a division title and playoff birth, the game won't technically matter in New England loses today, which I doubt they will, already up 7-0.

I understand your point, but what about the possibility that KC beats Miami? Miami has not played a cold-weather game all year, and KC did okay today. If NE loses today (admittedly very unlikely), Miami loses next week (admittedly unlikely), and the Jets beat Seattle, then what happens if Miami beats the Jets the last week and NE wins out? All three teams are then 10-6, but who gets the tiebreakers then? Could it be that a Miami loss next week, a Jets win next week, and a NE loss this week or next week would clinch the division for the Jets?

Pretty sure that Miami wins the tiebreaker if the Jets and Dolphins finish 10-6 and Miami beats the Jets.

yeah...the Raiders won't be the Pats....the Pats have coaches that can call plays....something that we aspire to have one day.

Oakland turns the ball over and the Patriots are up by 14 already. The Cardinals are playing like crap against the Vikings, so I'm not liking their chances against the Patriots next week.
