Who knows. We could have had anyone and everyone. Leon Washington is the Jets' future. And maybe a big guy to do some tough running like Houston. Leion: Better price, higher pick. Good stuff.

They'd be getting killed by the fans and media even though the same fans and media would have loved to see Bush here (including me). All I know is I'm very satisfied with Brick, Mangold and Washington. Not to mention the extra 2nd rounder for next year. Even if Bush turns it around and eventually looks great, the FO did the right thing.

From the ORIGINAL POSTER....I was not endorsing that move....just remembering all the hosts on WFAN endorsing it to make the SEXY move and draft Reggie or Matt Leinart.....HOW FAR would that have set the program back?????and we would NOT have drafted Leon Washington in the fourth round....

Everyone wants to draft a play maker, but it makes no sense without someone to block for him.

We would've thrown 2 nobodies into the C and LT spot, Chad would've been getting killed every game and eventually hurt again. Teams would then stack the box against Reggie and Ramsey (or who ever we end up drafting, prob still Clemens) and we win 4 games max again. Maybe better off in the future a little bit, but the way it is now we are watchable now and will only get better as the years go on.

Well said and true. I was on the Bush band wagon big time, but I have absolutely no complaints about Ferg or Mangold. A smart, intelligent decision. Something that has been missing in the Jets HC and FO for a long time

I agree. Offense is not our problem. Our defense stinks, and the 3-4 is not suited to our personnel, and the jets won't admit that.

I will tell you one thing good that would come out of it...the stadium would be packed 20 minutes before the game and certainly much louder than it is now.

    Screwed.

Although I hated picking lineman on draft day, I'm starting to come around. And right now Leon>Bush, Reggie is starting to look like a bust and Leon is playing fantastic!

That crowd noise would last as long as it took for Jason Taylor to torch whatever schmuck we had at LT and drill Bush into a hashmark. Not to mention the fact that he probably would have held out longer.

In the name of sanity end this thread right here!! Those two linemen will be here for 10 YEARS and be all pro in no time.. Six of the jet draft picks at least are making major contributions to this team. Mike T should get GM of the year for the draft alone. STOP
