I just saw someone who would rather face the Patriots than the Broncos, so I wanted to get a feel for what everyone was thinking. Of the most probable playoff teams, who do you think we match up best against and why?

Houston because we seem to have their number and I dont see a team playin a third string QB getting anywhere in the postseason even if they have the number 1 ranked defense!

I agree. It has to be Houston. I'd like Denver too, but they no way will get the 3 seed. The Patriots, Steelers, and Ravens will all be tough outs.

I want the Patriots ONLY if the Texans are the #1 seed. Our road to the Championship game would be at the Patriots then at the Texans.

At this point ill take whichover opponent as long as were in the postseason.

Well there is virtually no way we can get higher than the 6th seed and there's really no way the broncos can get higher than the four seed so there is no way we play them but they would be the preferred choice. I voted texans. Another shot at the pats wouldn't scare me but if you had to choose between them and the texans I have to go texans.

I'd much rather get the Patriots out of the way quickly. The pressure will be really heavy on them in their first game if they have to face the Jets or the Ravens. Both teams put a lot of pressure on Brady and can run the ball well enough to play keep away from Brady.

Houston. Their defense is legit, but they have no QB and their #1 WR has been banged up all year. Foster is also a guy to worry about, though

Pats. Still can't believe we lost them twice. But I think we will get Texans and Steelers/Ravens will get Broncos

I think it will play out like this:

    1. Steelers 13-3
    2. Patriots 13-3
    3. Texans 12-4
    4. Broncos 10-6
    5. Ravens 12-4
    6. Jets 11-5

    6. Jets at 3. Texans and 5. Ravens at 4. Broncos

Then 6. Jets at 1. Steelers and 5. Ravens at 2. Patriots

Then an epic championship game in BALTIMORE, with the 6. Jets at 5. Ravens.

In a perfect world, I'd go for the Broncos who I think, despite beating the Jets, will be the weakest team in the playoffs. However, it's pretty obvious that matchup can't happen, so my next choice would be the Texans. Despite their solid running game and very good defense, I'd like the Jets chances against a rookie QB and a team that hasn't been to the playoffs.

I don't like the way the Jets have played NE this year. I know they crushed us before the playoff game last year, but at least we had beaten them during the regular season. They looked to have figured the Jets out this year.

Baltimore seems to get in the Jets heads. More specifically, Sanchez'. I also understand the Jets O-line was not 100% when the Jets played them this year, but I also remember the stinker last year. Regardless of my personally not buying into Flacco, i'd like to avoid them as long as possible.

I've seen a lot of the Steelers this year. They have struggled to put up points in a bunch of games this year. They have scored 17 points or less, 5 times. Also with Ben always seemingly hurt, I would like the Jets to take a shot at them before Baltimore or NE.

I think order of preference would be:
    Broncos
    Texans
    Steelers
    Pats
    Ravens

I voted for the Broncos. If the Jets had the offense going in the last match up they would have easily defeated them. With a full week to get ready for the game (instead of the short turn around after the pats game) the Jets would look a lot better. Like Colleen said early in the thread the Jets beat themselves in that game.

I want to play New England and beat them, then play Baltimore and beat them and then play Pittsburgh and beat them. I don't want any of this pussy bullshit not facing tough teams.

They'd never publicly admit it, but so would almost everyone on the team. Nothing wrong with the path of least resistance.

Be careful what you wish for. Houston has been the best team in the conference.
