If the dolphins don't win a game this season, will the players break out the champagne every year the last winless team wins?

I would rather see, week 16, Dolphins are 0-14 and the Pats are 14-0. Dolphins go into NE and beat the Pats. That would be batter than anything.

Well the Bucs already do that since they're currently the only team to ever go winless in an entire season.

True. But they don't have NEARLY the recognition or prestige of the Phins as an organization over the last 30 years.

I still say the Phins beat Miami in December...We're ALSO that bad.

The 1976 Buccaneers are not the only team to go winless. In fact, they are not even the most recent winless NFL team.

There are four other current NFL franchises (Colts, Cowboys, Cardinals, Lions) that have a winless season in their history. Make that five if you want to include the Steelers, who joined forces with the Cardinals for one season during World War II.

    1982 Baltimore Colts 0-8-1
    1960 Dallas Cowboys 0-11-1
    1944 Brooklyn Tigers 0-10
    1944 Card-Pitt 0-10
    1943 Chicago Cardinals 0-10
    1942 Detroit Lions 0-11
    1934 Cincinnati Reds 0-8
    1929 Dayton Triangles 0-6
    1928 Dayton Triangles 0-7
    1927 Buffalo Bisons 0-5
    1926 Hammond Pros 0-4
    1926 Louisville Colonels 0-4
    1925 Duluth Kelleys 0-3
    1925 Rochester Jeffersons 0-6-1
    1925 Milwaukee Badgers 0-6
    1925 Dayton Triangles 0-7-1
    1925 Columbus Tigers 0-9
    1924 Kenosha Maroons 0-4-1
    1924 Minneapolis Marines 0-6
    1924 Rochester Jeffersons 0-7
    1923 Louisville Brecks 0-3
    1923 Rochester Jeffersons 0-4
    1922 Evansville Crimson Giants 0-3
    1922 Rochester Jeffersons 0-4-1
    1922 Hammond Pros 0-5-1
    1922 Columbus Panhandles 0-8
    1921 Tonawanda Kardex 0-1
    1921 Louisville Brecks 0-2
    1921 Muncie Flyers 0-2
1921 New York Brickley Giants 0-2
    1920 Muncie Flyers 0-1

I could have sworn that the Steelers merged with the Eagles during WWII not the Cardinals.

The Steelers joined forces with the Eagles in 1943. The Steagles went 5-4-1.

The Steelers still did not have enough players to compete in 1944, so they joined with the Cardinals that year. The Card-Pitt hybrid was awful and the squad was derisively called Carpets.

I would hate it if they went 0-16.

The concept of Fins fans being able to claim that they are much better than the Jets at both winning and losing and having perfect seasons each way to point at is just too painful to contemplate.

1-15 be just fine with me... ;p
