I could see Nolan or Haslett as DC. Both have extensive 3-4 backrounds. Nolan with the Jets, 49ers, and Ravens and Haslett with the Steelers. Former Cleveland OC Rob Chudzinski coached with Schott in SD and ran the same offense in Cleveland. He could be the OC and Cllahan could say in his position.

Who's Maj? If you mean the majoriy , I do not think the majority wanted Chad gone , more like 50/50 , I do not think it was anywhere near 50 percent that liked the Favre move. And yes the majority did want Mangini fired (he deserved it) and no where near the majotiy think he will be HOF material , ball boy material maybe. You do not think it is strange the Jets are so High on Schotty while with all the other HC vacancies out there he has not received one other phone call.

I agree with the meaning of your post--that the Jets fans are always looking at things pessimistically and blaming everything that moves. Look at a thread started today: FU Woody? The guy spent 140 million on FA last year. The only point of contention I may have is that over 50% wanted CP gone--we wanted BF no doubt; but I don't think we wanted CP gone although that may be the logical consequence.
Maybe I hang around with more intelligent people than the majority of fans but I do not think so. Of all the jet fans I know -- about 80% were against the Favre move and les than 50% felt Chad should go. It was pretty obvious that with the upgrades on the OL that this team was going to win 8 -10 games this year regardless if the QB was Chad or Favre. I think you are the one rewriting History.
