If Mariota is sitting at the Jets pick...

If Mariota is sitting there at the Jets pick you'd....

  1. Pick him in a heart beat

  2. Swap with Philly for their 1st (#20) another pick in top 4 rounds and Foles

  3. Swap with any team with a top 20 pick, a 3rd or 4th rounder, and their next year 1st rounder

  4. Would swap, but it would take more than the offers in the poll

If he's there you have to take him.

Give me Philly's 1st and 3rd this year, 1st next year and Foles.

It's either pull the trigger or hold out for a RG3 deal.

The offers listed don't move me enough to relinquish the pick.

The Browns squeezed a first and a fourth out of the Bills just to move up a few spots for a WR. When you're talking QB, the price goes up.

If the new FO has a top 10 grade on Mariota, they have to draft him.
forget the trade. this team is going no where until they find a QB.

    I can picture it now...

Mariota is on the board. Jet fans in attendance are chanting, howling for him. Goodell walks up to the podium and speaks:

"With the 6th pick in the 2015 NFL draft, the New York Jets select...."

    "...Vic Beasley, Defensive Lineman, Clemson"

That deal with Philly does not interest me so I would take Mariota.

I would swap firsts in 2015, get 2016 & 2017 firsts with additional picks in 2015-17 drafts.

I don't care about that draft value chart, nobody uses it. If Chip wants Mariota he will pay up.

If Rex and Idzik were still here, there's little question that would be the pick, but thank God both of those assclowns are gone.

The two trades listed in the poll I would not pull the trigger, in that case I would take Mariota. It will take at least a first rounder this yr, along with a 3rd and next yrs 1st with Foles.

They'd have to pay a Kings ransom.

It would be either draft him, or hold out for an RG3 type deal like someone said.

If Chip Kelly or any other team wants Mariota, they'll have to pay up hard for me to consider not drafting Mariota.

Will be interesting to see if they are able to trade up to maybe 10-12 before trading with us.

To jump from 20 to 6 is gonna take a lot.

You take the chance and draft MM. Unless of course your hoping we will be bad enough the year after to have our choice of franchise QB's in the draft. Fuck that.

There is not a trade scenario in the world I would accept unless it involved Andrew Luck or Aaron Rodgers.

There is no QB in next years class anywhere near as talented as Mariota.

It's fool's gold. And even if there were--if we're drafting 12-18th next year we aren't getting him.

But there isn't so it's a silly point some posters make.

Yeah that was for the people who want a hold the fort vet QB, wild card playoff shot and a franchise QB in the 2016 draft. I have no idea what's in their heads, but it's not common sense.
