Season over before Halloween yet again. Bearing in mind this team was 4-3 last season under ZW, I say clean it out now, and get a head start on the preparation for next season. We've seen today's performance countless times for over 5 years straight where the offense looks unprepared, disinterested, discombobulated, and as though they never practiced once. Said offense can''t complete a pass without a flag or protect the QB. OL is god awful. They burned 3 TO's in the 1Q due to piss poor communication getting the play called and even worse, it happened again with the 2 pt play in at the end of the game causing a 5 yard delay penalty, removing the chance to get the 2 pt conversion. Defense is horrific, can't stop a drip, no pass ruch at all. They can't kick, they can't defend punt returns. Absolutely inexcuseable loss today and heads must start to roll. Players heads, coaches heads, GM's head. All of them need to be called on the carpet for the state of this team right now.

I would trade off as many of these stiffs as possible including Gardner the over rated stick figure, and let the new GM (who hopefully will know wth he is doing), have as many picks as possible. In 55 years watching this organization make fools of themselves, today ranks in the top 3 of all time embarassing performances. That was a talentless 1 win team with a pre season type roster and backup QB who just ended their season. Inexcuseable. Throw everything at BB or Vrabel, or anyone who has had successful HC experience. This idea that an inexperienced D coordinator can run the whole team and call the defense is ridiculous as I posted earler last week, its not even Ulbrich's fault, he was thrown into an impossible situation by an idiot owner who has no clue. I always say the same thing every year at around this time, that being "I pity those unfortunate fans who plopped down thousands of dollars to go watch this garbage in that shit awful stadium."

The NY Jets are a disgrace in every area of professional football operations, both on and off of the field. Strangely enough, I am kind of glad that I do not have to worry or stress about them again until the April draft. Now I can concentrate on watching REAL NFL football played by REAL NFL teams, instead of this amateur wanna be garbage team.

It is a shame that the Yankees World Series will get all of the attention of the sports media here until it is over, and they may not rip into this pathetic team as it should.

Id firesale the whole team. Trade deadline November 5. Trade everyone away for picks:

    Rodgers
    Wilson
    Adams
    Reddick
    Williams
    Hall
    Lazard
    Gardiner

Trade em all away. Injuries all over the league, there will be demand, Jets can walk away with dozens or so picks.

How many picks would we have to give up to get anybody to take Rodgers and his contract off of our hands ?

    It's the coaching.

This team folds at the slightest provocation.

When Zurlein missed that FG... I could feel the suck from Los Angeles.

If you want to solve the problem, you do what I have suggested doing the last two seasons ... you spend every single draft pick you have on offensive linemen. Every single one. No "oh, but this guy is a once in a generation WR/DB!!!!" Offensive linemen. You build a wall of pro-bowlers (with depth behind them so when a pro-bowler is injured, you can replace him with an above average offensive lineman). "Oh, but we drafted offensive linemen recently and they stink!!!" <---- That's why you keep drafting them until you have a full set of offensive linemen who don't stink.

Defensive backs, wide receivers, running backs, tight ends ... they are all irrelevant.

Build an offensive line ... then a defensive line ... then get a quarterback.

I agree, but I’m keeping Garrett, breece, obviously the Williams bros. Sauce can go. I’d rather sacrifice a little quality in coverage for someone who’s not a pussy and can catch a football

Every "star" on the team should be on the trade block at this point. It would be irresponsible not to do that.

Serious consideration would also have to be given to firing Joe Douglas, Jeff Ulbrich, Todd Downing, and Nate Hackett. The product on the field, regardless of the circumstances they inherited with Saleh's firing, is unacceptable.

There's a list of "stars" on paper; on the field is a different list.

Personally I don’t think I’d fire sale everyone. Our problem is coaching. Does anyone here think that if we had Parcells coaching this team, we’d be 2-6? No way…

We just have some of the worst coaching in the league.

If it were my call, I would not firesale players right now. I think we have a bunch of very good players in GW, Breece, JJ, Q, Quincy, Sauce, Reed, MC2. There is talent here. You just need the right coach to actually utilize and motivate the talent. Maybe start with an OC who can actually get the play calls into the QB on time for crikes sake.

And if we are to attract a decent HC (will be difficult, I know), then I think we need to have some kind of player base otherwise we’re just trading good players for draft picks that we hope will be as good as the guys we already have.

We need a new GM who knows what the fuck he’s doing and start there. Then we need him to pick the right HC who knows what the fuck he’s doing. And it needs to be someone on the offensive side…we’ve been running DC’s out there for 20 fucking years and it shows plain and obvious in the state of our offense. Enough.

you can't win with an offense that can't block, and a defense that can't tackle. i can have a steak and lobster dinner after every Jet game if i get $1 for every missed tackle, and most likely even cavier for the same after every missed block. since 1965 i have seen only a few brief vacations from ineptitude, both GM and Coaching staffs. outside of sonny werblin, and even hess at the end, a big fat nothing from owners. rex had sucess until woody hired idzik to cheapen out his player salary expenses. no top notch coach will work for woody, not Hoodie, Vrabel, the detroit OC, etc...
