curious to know how others have their IDP leagues set up.
have been doing IDP since 2002 (more interested in them than i am offensive players), and am always looking to fine tune my league's setup.

we have 6 starting roster spots for IDP's, and obviously no team defense.
    2 LB's, 2 DB's, and 2 D Flex spots.

    current scoring is as follows:
    Tackle Solo: 1
    Tackle Asst: .5
    Tackle for Loss: 1
    Sack: 2
    Safety: 5

    Forced Fumble: 2
    Fumble Recovery: 3
    Interception: 4
Turnover Return Yds: .05 per every yd

    Pass Defensed: 1
    Blocked Kick: 5
    Touchdown: 6

I'm thinking about bumping up Tackle for Loss and Pass Defensed...
decent article from PFF on scoring:

So how is your league set up?

I've done one in the past. It's really hard to gauge because scores get insanely high. Def players score higher than offensive players is scoring isn't balanced.

Or your get the other extreme where players like Revis and Sherman get you nothing because nobody challenges them.

couple of reasons why i'll only play with individuals scoring on defense and special teams.....

    my matchup last week:
opponent had Brandon Marshall - got 5 points for the strip
i had Jarvis Landry - got around 9.5 points for the 69yd punt return TD

i just couldn't see those players not getting any fantasy points for those huge plays. wouldn't seem right.

So you don't have defensive players BUt you have scoring for those plays made on that side of the ball?

no, i play with 6 defensive players, and no team defense.

i was just providing additional benefits playing an IDP setup provides.
for instance, Kickers getting a point for making a tackle in kickoff coverage.
offensive or defensive players who contribute on special teams, and block a punt (Jennings), force a fumble as a Gunner in kick coverage, or return a punt for a TD.
defensive players who line up at TE and catch a TD pass (Watt), or handle a short ydg rushing TD (Sheldon)..
or even the rare play like Marshall's, where an offensive player made a great defensive play after the INT..

i feel the individual should get credit for good football plays, wherever they may occur.
it also takes more skill, and gets you watching all 3 phases of the game more closely.
can't believe more people don't play this way. it's the only way i'll play a season long league.
