label bryan thomas a bust. The man sucks. He is slow stiff and stupid. he always gets turned in on outside rushing plays and is freaking winded in the first quarter...... He has zero edge pass rushing ability and if im not mistaken he looks absolutely undersized for a outside linebacker nevertheless a defensive end. We will probably have a draft pick in the 14-20 range and we must undoubtedly target a outside linebacker or pass rushing specialist. Lets try to draft the next merriman or joey porter and fix this mess of a defense. That 4th quarter was embarrassing and imo it all starts with our ends and outside backers. Both hobson and thomas couldnt catch a turtle if their lives depended on eating turtles to survive. Dont even get me started on sean ellis btw who has already proved that bradway gave the wrong DE the long term contract.
A bust is Maurice Clarrett, Tony Mandarich and Ryan Leaf. He's not a bust. Is he what they expected? No. But not a bust.
If he was a 6th round pick he'd have been cut two years ago. 3rd rounder and he'd have been gone last year. Even as a first rounder he's about used up his "potential" value and needs to start producing in a big way now or hit the road.
He had a good 1st half and the whole defence sucked in the 2nd half so I don't know how u can say that.
I remember one play today were BT couldn't get around some backup running back! Just another on the long list on Bradway draft busts. I think this is the last year of his contract. I'd be happy to show him the door out.
I can't put Bryan Thomas into the same category with guys like Mauirce Clarret and Ryan Leaf. I just can't.
believe me i know how difficult it can be... Im just saying that in the first round we need to target the best passrushing olb or de available. I dont think an offensive position is a priority right now especially if leon can show that he can shoulder the load. How many of you guys knew that miami has the best average against opposing rb's? Leon did a hell of a job
Get out of here with that line. J.Abe has been off the field WAY more than he had been on the field. He is injury prone, and he wont help this team sitting on the sidelines all year long. He got hurt in his first game with ATL, proving we made the right decesion by getting rid of his ass... J.Abe was given the contract FIRST by the way, but he rejected it. They gave the same contract to Ellis (The most consistent, and best choice at DE), and he accepted the terms. Gee, I wonder why he was so disliked here? Now if he was not getting double teamed on a consistent basis, he would probably be more of a breakout player for us. He is doing more than what he is supposed to because he is taking on extra blockers every play, just to try to open up some gaps to get pressure going. I hate comments like that.... THE WHOLE DEFENSE has struggled all year this year. Not one or two players, but the whole unit. This is a top priority this offseason, and it will be dealt with. B.Thomas probably is'nt the answer, but he is doing what he can to get the job done. We will get better on D as the year goes by, we are learning a new scheme, and still getting that experience from this. All of this should work itself out next year, and we will benefit from all of our struggling now. We might as well struggle now, and learn, but still win some close games . Then get blown out every game, and learn, and become frustrated every week. IMO! Moo...!
I dont think it time to write him off just yet as he is not THAT bad. Hes not as good as expected but not a good player
i just cant stand how the opposing teams runningback gets like 5 extra yards after the first hit every single time. Vilma thomas and hobson are all garbage as of now in this D. Barton is the only keeper if you ask me
