Just my feel, but it really reminds me of 2009. At the pro day we were all over Mariota with our QB coach talking one on one to him for like 20 minutes. Mac's comments both at the combine and yesterday on the con call seem to be the type of things you say to not acknowledge interest. I am not sure I want Mariota but I think that like 2009 we have a head coach and in this case a GM that wants their guy at the helm. Question becomes how they try and get him. Obviously if Tennessee wants him nothing we can do, but if they don"t do we sweat it out to 6 or trade up?
If you are this close to getting a guy you think is going to be your franchise QB and a top tier guy at the most important position in organized sports, you go up and get him. Whatever it takes. _
New Coach and GM usually leads to a new QB. Titans hold all the cards though... I can't see them passing on him unless somehow Dick LeBeau insists on Williams or Fowler
