It looks as if tackle is the only spot left they MIGHT try to sign someone. The pickens are so slim, the odds are they won't sign anyone.
Brad Hopkins is out theere but the Jets is his last choice.
From the list on scout.com, everyone left is either priced to high or just a body for camp to keep others fresh.

I would like to see them go after Cassell and maybe Grady Jackson... Jackson could play NT for a couple of years

i wouldnt say that.................just because they have good players doent mean they will do good

  6. That would be a great move and I wouldnt be surprised to see it happen.

Right now I think Hopkins and Cassell are about the only players we have left on our radar and we are primarily concentrating on the draft.

I agree with that. Take a look at the Ravens of last year. They had good players all over the team...didn't they go 6-10?

Wait... Matt Cassel? The rookie QB that played for the Patriots last season? Why is he a free agent?

If he is, might as well take a chance on him.

I think OL & DL will still be addressed in free agency. I want Sam Adams. Gravy Jackson is second choice. There's plenty of money left in the salary cap even after the draft picks. Remember the bonus money for #4 will be prorated over the terrm of the contract and the other picks have relatively little impact on the cap.

There's going to be a few more pickups. Our lines will BOTH be better next year -- that's guaranteed. Don't count us out yet.

With the salary cap room we have, we're going to be able to make a big splash in the future. Still, I think we need to build this team through this and future drafts... that's where the real talent will come from. I sure as hell hope Tangini can evaluate talent as well as I think they can.

No, the one we're talking about is an up-and-coming LB from the Titans.

they can't be done yet. Still have plenty of holes to fill. I would love it if they did bring in BRAD KASSELL, he would add depth to our team especially since we will be running a 3-4 which needs that many more lb's. I would also like to see them add to the line because right now I don't care who we have starting for us next season at qb he won't stand a chance with our current line.
