Give them a monster deal to get that #1 pick so we can select Matt Leinart. We need to do what the New York Giants did. They knew what they were getting when they made that trade...a franchise QB. Alot of people said they gave up too much, but look at them now...After one year of getting their Franchise QB they went back to the playoffs. We need to give the Texans basically anything they ask for to get Matt Leinart...Matt Leinart would be a hit in NY... Texans Give: #1 overall pick Jets Give: #4 overall pick John Abraham (or the late first early second rounder we get from him in another trade) 4th rounder and next years second rounder... positives about the deal... We get to keep our second rounder this year and next years First rounder... Go get Matt!
Thats highway robbery on the part of the Texans. Look at the pick values, assuming Abraham is worth a mid first(which is what has been reported by most media sources), It shouldn't take much more than Abraham and our first. Considering they are trying to get Abe, and it is Texans that are seeking a trade down not us seeking a tradeup they are going to have to give a little. I don't htink more than our 1st, Abe, and the 4th we got for Edwards would be required, that said I think we take Cutler not Leinart.
Trade Abraham for a 1st and draft Cutler and White. If Penny takes a pay cut, take Hawk and White instead, and throw a late round pick at the Skins for Ramsey as a backup option. Your deal is borderline lunacy. I love Lienart, but if he's not behind a top 5 OL in the NFL he's going to crumble under the pressure.
Yeah you all are probably right...I made that post in the twilight hours after many hours of studying...forgive me for my crazy stuff  Cut 'em up Cutler baby
While I like Leinart, it might not be worth trading up, because either way 4 we're guaranteed to get a franchise player, either Bush, Leinart, Young, or Cutler. Id like to get Bush if we traded up to #1, but I wouldnt hold my breath. Whichever position of the two we dont address this year, I say we address next year.
