First i just swapped philip rivers for willis mcgahee. I am in dire need of a RB and have tom brady as my starter.

I just propsed Big Ben, Rudi Johnson, and Dennis Northcutt for Chad Johnson.

This guy needs a QB badly and while rudi has been bad this year he has the ability to turn it around. Northcutt has been pretty productive as well. I'm mostly speaking to his need at QB and throwing in a couple of other guys to try and tip him over. It works for him to fill that need and get 2 potential guys and I get a WR that would add a lot of depth to my roster

    Thoughts?

First of all, the guy that gave up McGahee for Rivers is an idiot.

Second, do the trade for ChadJo.

Agreed on both counts...'cept maybe the guy with rivers had leinart starting, so he may not be an idiot.

3 for 1 trades rarely work. Does he have two bums sitting on the bench he can afford to just drop?

i just proposed another one which sends Big Ben, Najeh Davenport, and Dennis Northcut.

Before you say its stupid check this out.

He's got Brees as his QB. He has Adrian Peterson AND Edge James on his team. He's also stuck with Santana Moss.

He gets a much better QB, depth at RB, and a much more productive WR than santana has been and I get my RB. Thoughts?

No rational person thinks that Northcutt is a better WR to have right now than Santana Moss. Not even close. Not even remotely close.

you said the same thing about my rivers for mcgahee trade. we saw how that worked out

and if you look at all the players in the trade then it makes sense. so maybe its you whos irrational ;)

I think Rivers for McGahee is a very bad trade for the person giving up McGahee. Why? Because RBs that are not part of a tandem and are currently producing are very rare right now. There are like 6 or 7 of them. Rivers is like the 9th best QB you can get and you could easily pick up someone like Damon Huard who will give you the same production.

Regardless, all I said about the irrationality of the latter trade was that comparing Santana Moss to Northcutt is ridiculous. Maybe the guy you are offering the trade disagrees and I hope for your sake that he does cuz it's a ridiculously one-sided trade.

beyond name recognition santana moss is having a horrific year. this year dennis northcutt has been much better than santana moss.

and yes it is a one sided trade for mcgahee but i'm the one getting him so its ok.
