Geno has such poise, he's such a great QB. Marty is a genius. Guys coming up with nicknames for an unproven cornerback. One guy compared Stephen Hill to Megatron. Some posters hoping Rex stays. Those claiming Vlad is a great left guard. All comments will be a complete 180 in an hour or so. Relax, calm down, wait and see. Why is this so hard for Jets fans?

I said this in the game thread. We need to be patient with Geno. We are not a playoff team this year. Never were going to be. Last week we beat a shit Bills team and the posts here changed to 9-12 wins this year. Let's let Geno play through the shits and see by week 12 or so if he is our guy next year. The Jets should compete in '14-'15. They aren't built to win now with this offense.

Geno is having a rookie game, no more. I still think he's gonna be a damn fine QB for us. The defense is still a fantastic defense too. Locker has just making great throws. Or he was till he got hurt. Some Jets fans, and some fans of every team, switch back and forth like a light switch.
I think the D will be good for a good while yet - though the CB position will become a concern - but I think Geno will suck and will continue to suck - my main concern now is how many more seasons will we have Brick and Mangold for? those guys have been utterly wasted by having terrible QB play pretty much the entire time they have been here - it depresses me that more than likely we will need to press the reset button on the QB position again this off season - at least we will be free of Sanchez's nightmare contract and it will be easy to move on from Geno with his 2nd rounder contract (assuming as seems likely he doesn't improve enough to show he is the long term answer) I would just love the Jets to give rex even an "OK" QB to try at least once before these guys get him canned.

The way he was running around in the backfield and looking scared, yup that is more than a rookie thing. He looked lost half the time. Hell he would have sat down in the endzone for a safety if the defender didn't touch him the one sack. Then he does the same thing but drops the ball behind his back for a TD. Nothing to say about that play except stupid is as stupid does. Butt fumble part II. Sanchez would be an all pro under MM if you think Geno is just having a rookie season. It's funny,but I have always noticed that the Jets follow the same routine as the fans. They win a game and then they go into the next one on a high horse and get knocked off. Been like that since I can remember
I think a lot of people were doubting how close we really were to 0-3. I don't think that's the case any more. We have a lot of holes, and our WR situation is bleak ... again.
Im not losing sleep over this loss...Its something we need to correct, but right now I think we need to sort out some issues on offense

After a crap performance what do people expect? People are justifiably mad. It's just the folks with their agendas posting away and talking crap.
Everybody is pretty shaky in their opinions until around midseason. The defense has some good qualities and so does ________ sorry can't believably say that. Geno is what he looks like. A very talented QB getting some important lessons in getting his ass kicked. Stuff every player should have. We are still a couple drafts away from being competitive.
What's changed? The Jets are rebuilding the league overall sucks and that means we are going to win some games at home and lose some games on the road. No big mystery.
I had Jets at 6-10 best case. Now 4 or 5 wins I hope. My brother, who is a Giants fan and biggest Geno supporter as WVU grad, says he does not have the mental quality to play in NY. This stretch of tough games will tell, but I think he's right. Was hoping for a first round WR next year. May need QB. Wait and see...
I feel for your brother, the Giants are my favorite NFC team and I always wanted a NY vs NY SB. This year the SB is in NY but that's it. I totally agree with him on Geno, he was picked in hopes of being a good QB and to sell tickets. They got the second part at least until the novelty wears off.
