I really want D.McFadden... And I want this kid rocking the Green for years to come, but at the same time... I cant seem to root against the Jets this week vs the Tittans.

But I look at all the young RB's in the league... M.Lynch, R.Bush, R.Brown, L.Maroney, A.Peterson and I'll even throw in W.Parker... They are all really exciting and add that extra threat in the backfield... I just want the Jets to have "That player" For example... I was playing Madden 08 online the other day on the PS2, and in the Lobby everyone was talking about the Draft and about 9 people were talking about how the Jets would be sick with McFadden and Thomas Jones in the backfield... And I wont lie, alot of people in that Chad was pissed that the Jets are in position to land hin because Miami and ATL really need a QB BAD... And Rams have S.Jackson.

With all that said, I just cant rooy against the Jets... Maybe next week though. Im just gonna root for ATL and STL this week

A fan should never root for his team to lose, regardless of the draft.

I am completely with you. I really want Darren, but I will never root for us to lose. So go Falcons!

nobody is a lock to be great. Look what happened to Reggie Bush, the guy will never be a great running back, just a good receiver out of the backfield. Blair Thomas, Ki-Jana Carter....

I'd rather we win and not worry about having to trade down in this crappy draft.

I'm rooting my ass off for the 49ers to beat the Bucs, the Falcons to beat the Cards, and the Dolphins to beat the Patriots.... But it's not working...

There are no sure things in the draft. McFadden could be great. Could be. But you mention Willie Parker... where was he drafted?

One thing we know, good RBs can be found in a lot of places, not just a top 5 pick. But if the offensive line blows, we'll be complaining that our "can't miss stud RB" is just another Jets draft bust.

I'm waiting for "that guy" to come into this thread and start bitching about how these games are meaningless and we should lose on purpose for a higher pick.

You can also find solid to great O-Lineman in the later rounds... Let me just say one thing right now... D.McFadden is a SURE thing... Reggie Bush was always all hype playing for the best team in the Country... He had the best O-Line as USC and one of the best QB's... And he was more of a 3rd down back in terms of NFL potential.... D.McFadden is the real deal. You can NEVER find a running back with the skill Darren has in the later rounds... He is head and shoulders above any RB in this draft. A.Peterson type... Maybe even better

IMO, the only running back in history that was an absolute number 1 pick that had zero chance of busting was OJ Simpson. Granted, the guy turned into a douche after football, but he was incredible when he played.

He was drafted right after we won the Super Bowl and plagued us and many other teams all through the 70's. He did things running with the football that I haven't seen Barry Sanders, Sweetness, or even Ladanian Tomlinson duplicate.

i don't know if i could actively root against the jets, but this years team is making it pretty easy for me not to give a damn about the outcome of the games.
