I see on here that people think we won't do much next season which is maybe true, but they think we are going to get better in a few years. I don't see it happening because of the coach we have. Sorry! I'm not just sold on this Eric guy we got. I really hope I'm wrong but I just don't see it.
The only good thing you here about him is that he coached under Bill B. for ten years. I don't see where that makes him a good coach.

Yeah, Herm would have been tons better! All the great gameplans, gameday adjustments, and clock management will be missed!

    Yes...we should have kept Herm.

Just curious..what was it about Herms resume before he got here that you liked so much.

OK, third and 9. What's it, a forty-two yarder? OK, let's run backwards for three yards and 'center the ball'. On two....Clap.

Herm sucked. We can only hope Mangini sucks less.

Oh, I know. It definitely was. I was driving home the point, cause I've never seen a coach call a play to deliberately lose yardage and set up a 46 yard FG on a freezing winter night, when you could have tried diving FORWARD and making it a 39 yarder. Kind of a big difference......

No... I hate to rain on your parade but... hey wait a minute...I'd love to rain on your parade!!! How can you honestly judge the guy if you don't know his name? Eric Mangini has been in a winning system for years...he's a winner. He's climbed from waterboy to dc in less than 10 years. He's a hardworker who won't be afraid to fine guys for being overweight. I think he can become a great coach in the NFL. Give the guy at least a game before you say, "Hey! I think this guy who worked under a guy who has 3 championships in the last 4 years and has made the playoffs a ton with his whole team on injured reserve can't be a good coach."

See..this is the problem around here. How can I be nice about this.

Are you sure Herm was a cord. for more than a year?

Hows this for a fact...Herm Edwards never called a timeout..or a play...until he came to the Jets.

He was never a cord...ever. Thats a fact.

No Jets coach has ever had more talent playing for him either. But yeah, pretty much, the front office and coaching has always sucked for the Jets. It was good with Parcells for a couple of seasons.

Bingo. He was a DB coach before he became a head coach. He was never a DC ever.
