Congrats. Good game... well, it was actually a pretty crappy, sloppy game by both teams, but the Jets earned the win. Hats off to 'em. Just didn't want this to get lost in the shuffle. See you guys again in December, and I'm sure well before then here on GG.
I didn't think there was anything "sloppy" about how the Jets played. Sloppy was Week 1... But kudos for being a good sport.
How were the Jets sloppy?? M. Sanchez 21/30 220 7.3 3 0 124.3 or was it L. Tomlinson 11 76 6.9 0 31 S. Greene 15 52 3.5 0 8
There was nothing sloppy about the Jets this week. The offense was PRECISE and moved the ball all game. The Patriots on the other hand looked good in the 1st half but "sloppy" in the 2nd half. Now last week was a sloppy game for the Jets with 14 penalties.:gpc: ats_suck:
When the QB goes 24 of 30 for 220 and 3 TD's and NO int's, that is not a sloppy, crappy game, for our side. That was a crisp, dominating on both sides of the ball performance by the Jets for the final 30 minutes. Don't try to come sell the "both teams were crap and didn't play well, but you guys just played less sucky". QB had a career best 3 TD's and a 124 QB rating. That's not sloppy. Come on go pats, you're better than that.
Not to defend a Pats fan, but the Jets secondary was sloppy in the first half, particularly Cromartie. Much better in the second half.
While the thought was nice the end result was shit. Please tell me how Sanchez completing 70% of his passes for 220 yards, 3 TD's and and a 124.3 QB rating sloppy? I realize TOM having a rating around 70 while throwing 2 INT's is sloppy, but that sloppiness is due to the fact that the Jets made the necessary halftime adjustments and shut down the Pats offense. Holding you to 52 rushing yards on a 2.6 average is just more Jet dominance. Considering a week earlier both the rushing stats were about double. Holding Welker to 36 yards was great by the Jets, it gave Hernandez some room to shine so that will be stopped upon our next meeting. Too bad there are two half's in the NFL huh? I've reading some Pats complaints and hearing that they don't think BB is making the appropriate halftime adjustments. IS this true?? Are Pats fans finally removing their fingers from BB's ass?
Sloppy game by the Jets? Which game did u watch? The only thing remotely sloppy were the injuries...if its considered sloppy. Oh, n the Randy Moss TD over an injured Revis.
Instead of dogpiling on the "sloppy" comment (which I COULD do), I'll just point you to this thread instead: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=59425
Yeah, the Jets could have tightened things up, but in adverse situations, the Jets played like the superior team while the Pats were as sloppy as a Thai hooker on a dope binge. BEAT DOWN. But thanks for coming by and being gracious in defeat. I don't think there were many that truly gave the Jets a shot on Sunday.
The Jets didn't play sloppily, except for a couple plays in the first half. But thanks for the congrats. Most other Pats fans bailed on the Jets board, only to be heard from again the next time the Jets lose and Patriots win in the same week.
Not supposed to be doin the dougie at his age. See 2:00:
Holy crap. LOL... well at least the passion is back on GG after a week of absolute doom-and-gloom. If you guys all thought that was a 100%, end-to-end, near-perfect masterpiece of a game, that's cool. I don't think the Jets were "crisp" on offense or defense through most of the first quarter and a good chunk of the first half. So yeah, to an objective eye, there was sloppy play on both sides. Unless you don't think Aaron Hernandez winding his way through your secondary and making guys miss for a 40-plus yard gain constitutes sloppy defense. It wasn't a slight, or a slam. I wasn't saying, "your team was slightly less sucky than mine was." You guys need to mellow out. It was far from a perfect game by either team. Which is more of a compliment than anything. The Jets beat the Patriots without playing their best football. Enjoy it. I'm eating crow here.
