Since there's going to be a massive inflow of casual opinions, rampant speculation, and just generally off-the-wall shit leading up to tonight's pick, I figured I'd start the anti-pick thread. Who would be your "Mike Nugent" pick? The one that just makes you wonder if Tanny's trying to get fired so he can get picked up full time on CSI? A hype prospect with a shitty motor, a bad fit for us, a headcase...who's that one guy that we MIGHT actually pick that you'd put a hole in your TV if we did?
I have a lot of faith in Tanny, Joey C, Bradway, etc. I feel pretty confident they will draft the right players for this system. However, the only player that worries me in the slightest is Justin Houston. He has lots of talent but he just seems better suited to the 4-3.
There aren't really any for me - there are so many pretty good fits for us that will be available when we pick that I just cannot imagine a WTF pick happening. edit: my mate (a niners fan) always refers to this as the "Rumph pick" after he spent the whole of the 2002 draft going "anyone but Rumph, anyone but Rumph" and with the 27th selection of the 2002 draft the forty niners selct...Mike Rumph, CB Florida.....
