I give up Aquan Bolden and Trent Edwards I get Peyton Manning. Its a screwed up Yahoo league were return yardage couts as much as rushing or receiving yards (stupid I know) and I have 4 starting kick returners plus Boldin as WR so I'm set there. Trent edwards and Gus Ferott are my QB's leaving them low scoring and streaky. Manning I feel is the player that puts me over the top as I already have Peterson and Brandon Jacobs at RB. The Guy I'm trading with has crap WR's and would need Edwards for QB depth. Fair trade?
You get screwed there, Boldin is the Top-FF WR this year, despite missing 2 weeks. Manning isn?t the borderline #1 or #2 QB anymore. Why the hell don?t you play Boldin? Only a few Returners average more yards per game than he doesn, and he?s averaging about 1.5 TDs per game. Don?t make this Trade.
I start him, but compaired to the returners he's only averaging about 5 more points a game. I made a point of picking up guys from shitty teams so the get lots of returns every week. Its like a average a 100 receiving game from each one of them. the scoring is screwy like that. Manning is averaging 10 more points a game then either Edwards or Ferrot in my league. I get good points every week form WR even without Boldin. The only weak part of my team is QB. I have AP, Brandon Jacobs and Deanglo Williams at RB, with Dustin Keller starting over Vernon Davis at TE rihgt now. I'm hoping the other morons in this leagu do not deny it because Manning is the bigger name, so I hope they all react the way you have. Its a league full of rugby players. Not exactly gret FF guys hehe.
Yeah I don't think it's a great trade either, but after your explanation it makes more sense. I just think for a WR as good as Boldin, you should be able to get a top-5 QB. Brees, Warner, Cutler, Rivers, McNabb are top 5. I got Brees in 2 of 3 leagues, but he is #1. Try to swing a trade for one of the others unless you think Peyton is coming on late.
