I feel pretty confident that we have a very good chance of beating Jacksonville. They have just lost two straight and our obvious weakness our defense won't be as challenged as this week. The only thing I'm scared of is our team having a let down after such a close game but under Mangini I think this could be avoided unlike when we used to have Herm. We also need to do something with the D-line...any ideas? How you feel going into Jacksonville?

we have no chance against them...we dont match up against them at all.....and coming off the two losses I think we're running into a buzz saw on this one....they play so physically at the lines of scrimmage....this one is all about getting out of there alive...we'll be 2-3 and then we get some big time schedule relief.....I felt way better about todays game than the jax game all week.......almost assured a loss fellas

I think its a very winable game. Jags usually solid d looked like crap today, they are probably gonna be pissed. Jags offense is ok, nothing special. Its gonna be another tight game. Hopefully Coles will be ok to play

i don't agree at all... Indy was the hardest game on our schedule and we managed to stay with them. I think we can stay with Jacksonville also

Whatever the hell they've been eating and drinking, they should have a lot more servings of it. I think that with the same attitute (minus the 1st Quarter), they should be able to prove themselves as some type of contender. JAX was given the Lombardi trophy (so to speak) after the shutout on MNF, and have lost 2 straight. They were #1 on almost everyone's power rankings, but have proven otherwise.
This is going to be tougher than the INDY game IMO. They've got a good rushing D, and we obviously have HUGE ??? marks in the running dept. I think that with a good, early mix of passing and a good rotation with RBs, as well as some Mangini "bigger-balls-than-anyone" playcalling, we'll be in for a hell of a game.

Jacksonville, like Chicago, is always underrated, yet prove to be able to duke it out with any team in the league. Our running game has been non-existant, and I don't think playing Jax will remedy that (even though Portis gained 100+ yards on 'em today).

Fred Taylor is still a good RB, and Leftwich can be lethal. Their WRs are huge and will probably manhandle our smallish secondary. I don't expect next Sunday to be very pleasant.

For some odd reason, The Jets seem to be Rhodes Warriors...pun intended...

their offense is real good, the have two good runningbacks, and 3 tall recievers, the can control the clock and their defense will stop the run, i feel in order for us to have a chance we will need some big plays on special teams, as well as a pattened coles/cotchery catch and run big play, im not worried, mangini will have his boys well prepared, something we couldnt count on since the tuna was here

We can't stop the run,and they have a running game. They also have a better defense than the Colts. I'm not saying we can't win,but this is exactly the kind of matchup that does not favor us. But then again,Mangini leads a new regime, and things are different now.

i have much more confidence in this team after that game today... we played the best team in the league and stayed with them.. i don't care what kind of defense we are playing.. pennington's style of play (short high percentage passes) will work against any d

We have a chance. We stayed competitive against the Pats and Indy. Although Jacksonville's defense is top notch, I believe we still have a chance. We just have to play smart football.
And we must figure out how we're going to stop Jones-Drew and Taylor. That 1-2 punch is lookign scary.

The bright spot is we get Cle, Miami, and Detroit before the bye...

5-3 at the bye is great for this team.

I would have felt a lot better had they won today. I think our defense should be able to force them into some mistakes. Offensively it will be tough for us to run and in the past they have had Chad's number so we could have problems passing it too especially if Coles is out. I don't see us winning this one but I wouldn't be surprised if it comes down to the final minutes again and we have a chance to get the W.

Yeah, but it'b be nice to get a good win against a solid team. We do have NE at the razor after the bye, and I wouldn't want them to go into the game not having beaten a decent team.

we will be in every game...but the danger of falling to 2-3, with this young team, is serious...even though we play 2 of the toughest teams in the league, i'm afraid losing vs. jacksonville might cause some people to question mangini...hopefully the coaching staff gets the guys back together and focused on jacksonville, who showed they are beatable today

Jacksonville is tough, they arent unbeatable. They were 12-4 last year, we were 4-12, Pennington got hurt in that game, and we lost in overtime.

I don't think anyone will turn on Mangini after a loss to Jacksonville. We almost won today against the best team in the NFL and I see no reason why anybody would turn on us after a week. Anyway, we don't get enough media attention for them to turn on us so I'm not worried about that

I was going to talk about Jacksonville's terrifying defense, but after watching the skins torch them, I have faith we can move the ball on them as well and fool them with some misdirection and trickery. Key of course is for Coles and Houston to play.
