There are a lot of question marks about our round three picks. Inthis thread I would like to know what people think and what they would hae done differently if they had the reigns. I have no problem with how our first round went at all. They may not be the glamorous picks but they were needed. 4. Brick 29. Mangold 35. Chad Jackson 3a. Max Jean Gilles 3b. Gabe Watson
I love our draft. I thought we were going to take MJG or Watson but I guess we took someone else. Maybe they just see something that we dont.
if you replace jackson with Clemens that is a good draft to me but the draft is over stop with the what iffs
4. Vernon Davis 29. Nick Mangold 49. Kellen Clemens 71. Max Jean Gilles 97.Gabe Watson The reason i left the 2nd rounder the way it is because we got another 2nd rounder out of it.If we stayed their i would have prefered Jimmy Williams.
4- D'Brickashaw Ferguson 29- Nick Mangold 49- Kellen Clemens (2nd rounder 2007) 3a- Eric Smith 3b- Anthony Schlegel
4: D'Brick 29. Mangold 49 Clemens (get the 2007 2nd rounder) 3A. Gocong (don't do the trade with Philly) 3B. Jean-Giles
Another weak armed QB who has had throwing arm injuries and 3 OL, 1 who has legal problems and another with a huge weight concern? I'll pass. Mine personally would've been 4- D'Brick 29- Mangold 53 - Clemmens (getting a 2nd rounder here is amazing... unless San Diego, Minnesota, or Green Bay took him inbetween. That trade up we made was poor. If Clemmens leaves the board Gocong) 71- Gocong (if Clemmens is gone at 53 and Gocong is taken at 53 then Whitehurst) 97- Oshinowo (had a strong liking for him and wanted him here badly) All my picks would have looked very good on paper, except the Oshinowo pick. This would be more filling for a need (which is not something our FO wanted to do) since we filled 2 defensive needs.
We have our first round talent QB. His name is Kellen Clemens. Yes I know he was taken in the second round, but alot of people believe that he would have been a first rounder had he not been hurt.
Definitely. Also don't forget that Leinart is likely to have a good NFL career because he has a perfect supporting cast and the ball travels easier in Arizona. New York and Arizona are polar oppisites and we'll never be able to compare Clemmens and Leinart because of it.
