since this game is history, the best thing we can do is look to the future, therein lie the baltimore ravens, a strong defensive team who recently aquired the jet killer himself willis mcgahee, they haven't let up more then 30 pts a game since 1776 so i think our best bet is to win the turnover battle and play smart, i think if we do this we can win, but in order for this to happen we must be able to stop the run, that to me is the #1 priority, #2 protect the qb whoever it may be, we should do what the pats did and keep 8 men at the line, if we execute these 2 crucial points i think we can win 10-3 , what do u guys think?
expect a performance much like this past weeks... we will be dominated again at the point opf attack on both sides of the ball and beat pretty soundly... they are another true super bowl contender, the big 3 from tha AFC.. NE Baltimore San Diego then, there is the rest of the division
I don't think Baltimore are as good as advertised. We'll see tonight, but I think their offense is overrated and stoppable, even by our 'defense'. If Chad plays then we'll score enough to win, with Kellen, I have no clue.
The Raven Receivers are easier to cover, so we will be able to blitz and crowd the line. That's how we'll win, because the game will close enough for 21 points to win the game...... that's how we won last year, by keeping the game close.
now is that the optimism us jet fans are so famous for? seriously tho maybe this loss will light a fire and we pull it out
i also think we need a solid special team performance, speaking of did anyone else notice westoff was no on the sideline?
I think the jets can win this wk, but it's gonna be really tough. In 04 and 05 the jets lost to ravens when being forced to use a backup QB. To win we must get the run game going, protect the QB, stop the run, and get a pass rush. We do that, we win.
Without Chad, we do not have a chance. He needs to make a Willis Reed like entrance at the beginning of the game and get all the players excited.
I wish it were that easy. Hopefully this wk the o-line just plays better, which is give some better pass protection and open up some running lanes for our 2 great backs. And McNair is no brady, so we can rush extra guys to get the QB if necessary and do the same to stop the run.
Those two losses may go down in history as the two worst coached games in the history of football -- at any level. (This is from a guy who supported Herm, too).
isnt that the basis for winning any game? the ravens have a better defense than we have an offense (mostly due to the god awful blocking). the jets will be grabbing their ankles by halftime.
You are wrong, Baltimore isn't in that class, while their defense is very good, their offense will weigh them down. Willis McGahee other than against us has always been overrated It is more like NE Indy San Diego and then everybody else To me this game is a better indicator of how good our defense is compared to the rest of the AFC
Agreed. My opinion of Herm changed alot with the Quincy Carter debacle in the Baltimore game. I no longer had confidence that he could give us an edge when we needed it. The next year at Baltimore convinced me 100% he had to go. That was an atrocious game plan and he handcuffed the offense and cost us a win. Never showed a wit of confidence in a guy who had been on the club for 3 years prior who knew the system. Before the Carter game in 04 I was on board with the regime. Those 2 games were given away literally.
