Did The Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos end up with a cake schedule and we have to go through a murders row with Pittsburgh, KC, and Seattle? Not complaining just wondering!

Because of the way the league rotates its opponents so every division plays a different afc and nfc division every year. There are only 2 opponents that are scheduled based on a teams success the year before

They only have one or 2 soft games on the schedule, everyone else on their schedule is going to be competitive.

The truth is, if the jets ever find their franchise QB and they consistently win 10 games a season their schedule is going to be tough every year.

They play NO, TB, ATL, Jacksonville, and Tennessee...... plus 2 games against SD....... that's 7 games that they defiantly win......

I think the NFL screwed up big time when they changed to the present format. Supposedly, there is parity in the league, but it is a sham, more like a parody of parity. IMO they need to go back to the schedule where teams play their divisional opponents and the rest of the schedule is based on their record, with bad teams having an easier schedule and the top teams having the toughest schedules. The way it is now, some top teams always have a great advantage, and some bad teams have an impossible schedule.

Getting both Souths is the pinnacle of cakewalk schedule.

I'd much prefer a 15 game schedule where you play all your AFC opponents to decide who gets into the AFC playoffs for a chance to represent the AFC at the AFC vs NFC championship game.

    Would make tiebreaks so much easier;

    1. Record
    2. Head to Head record against tied teams
    3. Points differential (either over season or within tied teams)

    or

    1. Record
    2. Record minus lowest placed team(s)
    3. Record minus lowest placed team(s) above the lowest placed team(s) etc........

    Current Format
    1. 6 games within your division
    2. 4 games against a division within your conference (AFC North)
    3. 4 games against a division outside of your conference (NFC West)
    4. 2 games against teams in the other divisions within the conference who finished in same place in the prior year (Jets were 2nd last year, Indy & KC were 2nd last year.)
