Are they still doubted by many or are they the consensus AFC favorites as a result of a victory?

They'll probably be the favorites until next week when they wait until the fourth quarter to win it, then they're lucky again..

If they win tonight they become the Super Bowl favorite. The Pats 25 game home streak with Brady is looked with reference. You knock down the Pats at home, with Brady and Belli, you get respect. They can win this game 45-0 or 6-3 on a last second field goal -- they both equal the same thing...impressive road win against an unbeatable home team.

They will call us the best team in the NFL but I don't care until we win the super bowl.

Jets are an elite team BEFORE this game. A record of 9-2 doesn't lie.

To be honest, I don't gaf, I just want them to win. Everyone calling us lucky will continue to do so, and the jealousy will be more evident than ever.

    Headlines:

    Lucky!

Brady had a bad night, Pats still better.

Jets aren't that good, but the Patriots aren't that good. We overrated them I guess!

Packers-Ravens must be the Super Bowl since Jets lost to Both.

Brady more inspired than Ever after Loss to Jets.

Loss to Jets likely to spring board Patriots to Super Bowl

    Sound about right?

As long as they keep winning I don't care if they get respect or not. Lead the league in fucking wins and nothing that anybody says mean jack shit. They can take their respect and shove in their pie holes. J!-E!-T!-S! JETS! JETS! JETS!

    This boldy thingy.

The NFL nails a new dream girl every week. Last week, I kept hearing how the Chargers were hot, and how their record in December was going to bring them home. Enter the *cough* Raiders. Matt Ryan rallies the Falcons, and now they're way-cool with nine-straight. Until tonight. We win and we're the new darlings - but then pass it off to someone else if we lose to Chicago, Pitt, or Buffalo (Miami being the only gimme).

    Respect is something you earn.
Not something you get to demand

the new excuses will be 'other then the pats, what good team have the jets beaten? the jets are just made to beat the pats. they can't beat other good teams as proven by losses to the ravens and packers'

I know this is something that is tossed around a lot, but I really don't care if they're "respected". Maybe earlier in the year I did, and in the past I did a little, but this is the first year in a WHILE that I actually feel that this has a chance to be a superbowl year. I don't want respect, I just want a ring.

Francesa said at the beginning of his show that he would consider the winner of this game the best team in the NFL and a clear Superbowl favorite!

If the Jets win tonight they become a lucky team who just happens to have the Patriots number.
