Nooge is on his way to being one of the best, if not the best kicker in the league. People rail that draft pick, but I'll still support it. Last 2 years he's been great for us and he's only getting better.

Yup. If you remember, the Vikes were so desperate that they signed Brien right after we released him a few weeks later.

no way we get him later. there were 2 other teams that were looking to snag him. and after the doug brien fiasco we needed the guy. i wouldnt have cared if he was our first rounder at that point.

we needed stability and a solid kicker and we got that. he was shoddy of KOs initially, but he has really improved as a KO guy.

im just kinda surprised that more people havent noticed how good hes been. i know he had the consecutive FG streak end, but ill be happy as long as hes a jet.

if you can kick for ohio state you can kick in the nfl...

His kickoffs this year are OVERRATED.

Low and deep does no good unless it goes out of the end zone. Just ask New England, they'll tell you.

The kick in the 3rd that went to the 8 was his best kickoff of the day... No chance that was being returned.

how can you blame nooge for kicking the ball 8 yards into the endzone for nobody making the tackle? he didnt kick out of coverage, we had guys there betweek the 10 and 20! the sloppy tackling cant be blamed on him. hes had more TBs this year in 3 games than he did all of last year.

ellis hobbs' return was more on the other 10 guys than it was on nooge.

Nugent was worth the 2nd round pick. Easily.

If you have ever played special teams, you might know where he is coming from, because you can outkick coverage making it very hard to stop the returner from making a busting off a good run...

    HOWEVER, THAT WASNT THE CASE

the Jets have been playing very poor ST this season, ( Leon's return aside ) and cant tackle the KR to save their lives...which was a main part of why Ellis Hobbs returned that one kickoff for a 108 yard TD, not because they were outkicked
