I think it will be a hard battle to the end with a close scoring game. I am hoping Miami can pull it out. I wanted to get your perspective on if you feel real confident, or are you concerned about the game.

I am worried about tackling. If the Jets can tackle, then they will probably win lets say, 27-13.

I won't know how to feel about the Miami matchup until Monday.

I'm more concerned about people thinking about the game 11 days from now, when we still need to win the game 4 days from now in order to keep controlling our own destiny.

Chad Pennington can't throw in the Meadowlands. If we stop the run and actually tackle... the Jets will win. But beat Seattle first.

I'm afraid we're going to lose to Seattle.

Fortunately what we fans think and talk about has no impact on the team. If Jets players were talking about week 17 I'd be concerned.

That's about where I'm at. I need to see this team play better than the last 3 weeks. If not I'll be worried.

I want D-Brick, Faneca,Mangold, Moore, Woody,Richardson, or Thomas Jones, to SMACK Joey Porter in the mouth. That would be fun.

I'm more concerned with the Miami game than I was about buffalo, or about the Seattle game.

but, one game at a time.

Really? I was REALLY worried about the Bills game. Sort of worried about the Seahawks game, and NOT worried about the crappy Dolphins. They just aren't that good. Plus we are at home.

I felt good enough about the Buffalo game that I even predicted the Jets would win 21-17 on two different boards (this was one of them), and I rarely get into making predictions.

I think the Jets defense is going to be tested by those 2 good RBs Miami brings to the table. I also think that Miami's defense is going to have to move Porter around if they want to pressure Favre. If Favre can sit back and throw, the Jets win. And if Pennington has to sit back and throw, Jets win.

You know, there's always that 1 guy who doesn't understand the fan aspect of looking ahead. There's 1 on every fan forum, and they're always looking to piss in our cereal, preaching us like we're players who need to focus lol. I've always wondered how I need to focus on the week ahead, when I plan to sit on my ass and drink Coronas during the game, but okay, let's focus guys!

But anyway, back on topic, I think both teams have obviously evolved quite a bit since Week 1, and the homer in me wants to say we'll be able to throw all over the Jets, but the Jets have shown they've been able to get up for a big game. Week 17 is as big as it gets. I think Miami pulls out a very close one(of course course), but it's almost impossible to get non biased opinions from Jets and Dolphins fans on this game.

this is the one West Coast game where im fairly certain we will handle business. For some reason I thought the Jets might have trouble in Oakland, SF, and SD. Maybe its a California thing...

If the Jets give us a solid win this weekend and ease a few of the doubts from the last 3 weeks, I feel it is setting up to be a very exciting football game. If that all comes out this weekend, I think I'll have the most anticipation since the Giants-Packers NFC championship last year (god did I have a hard time concentrating at work the week before that!)

Unlike a lot of you here, I don't see the Phins game as a cakewalk. I think even our mediocre D should do well to shut down their O (meaning they won't score much offensively), and it will come down to whether our O can best their D.

Get back to me after they play in that 20 degree weather in KC sunday.

Then think about adding swirling wind.

Here's my "I'm just going to throw this out there psychic prophetic proposal"

Mangini rides Gholston after deactivating last week, (possibly again this week), because he feels he's close, and knows he's got a good history against Jake Long.

Fearing for his professional life, he gets used on passing downs to complement Coleman and Pace over Long...(Rushing 5)...
