When I had to have surgery on my arthritic big toe it literally took five months to schedule. How the heck could he call this celebrity doctor and have it done next day? Pretty crazy

    I am serious.

this guy is probably booked for two years. You really think Rodgers could just call him and he will drop everything?

Reason he is booked for two years is because of his service to celebrities. So when a high profile comes along, he will re-do his schedule to accommodate.

I had a friend who went to Anthony Volpes dad to check him for testicular cancer. He didn’t even know it was Volpes dad.

Exactly and they get paid the big bucks to be able to work around their schedule for high profile people

He's not booked for two years. He's not operating on schmoes. He has a small team of relatively young all-star surgeons beneath him that take the schmoes. And he has an office full of autographed photos of sports megastars, and he's in the office himself once a week, when he's in town, which is rare. Because he's flying all over the world doing symposiums and book signings and God knows what.

And when Aaron Rodgers needs surgery, he gets a call.

Rodgers seemed a little bothered that Kobe had his surgery on the same day and he had to wait.

When I was 16... I snapped my femur in half on a motorcycle.

The Doctor that screwed my leg together was the Jets orthopedic guy.
He said it was a "challenge"... but I felt lucky to have him.

I still spent the summer in a traction bed at the hospital.

So, did Volpes father have cancer? And more important, was your friend a doctor?

No Volpes dad is a urologist. My friend had a lump on his testicle. Turned out he didn’t have cancer. Just inflammation.
