With all the war references used in sports, the media singled Kellen's out at deflamatory and anti-military, a college kid that they ambushed at his locker. When do you ever even see college players interviewed after games? Ever? He laid a great block, and got questioned about it because a kid got hurt. Not his fault, yet he gets critiqued about it because the media members know he is a quotemaker, they were doing just what he said, making money off of him.
At the same time he aint too bright, you have to learn your actions reflect your family. He said something stupid and that affects others as well as him. However he has proven so far in his career that he just isnt a very bright guy.
Lol look who came to defend. Coincidence ? I think not . Personally I think that he is genuinely a good kid. but you have to admit, " F*** it , ima soldier" , is borderline hilarious.
Hehe. . . I love that. The "Umma bleeping soldier" thing is over the top and stooopid, but you can't really quibble with the rest of it. I mean, why should the kid have to apologize for a GREAT block. On a more serious note, not seeing that clip in a couple years, something now occurs to me: Where the hell are the heads of the Miami University media relations office?! These are kids, and the U lets them get stacked-up at their lockers after games?! What on earth would they expect?! You don't even see that on some NFL teams.
We only care about this U. End of. I get pumped up everytime I hear Kellen's interview. You guys can call it stupidity all you want, but this is the passion that has turned UM into one of the best in college football. This is how each and every one of the kids playing in Coral Gables are feeling right now.
Let's hope so. I'm not sure there's anyone left for Larry to fire. Seems to me another embarassing loss in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl will mean big changes at the "U".
LOL. Yes, LOL. Very good. Was it a stupid thing to say? Yeah. Is it comical? Yes. Is it some great criticism of the military that the media made it out to be at the time? No. After some of the things his father's said over the years, I can't imagine that K2's words here tarnished any of the family's image.
