This guy just turned the entire franchise around and beat the Chiefs on the road!!! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5981629
i'm all for the ineptitude of the Raiders organization. The obvious exception to that was this year, when good ol' bill gets their numero uno. glad cable had hte year he had. very impressed in fact. so it should come as no surprise i'm all for the raiders letting him go. far be it from me to actually want to get in the way of al destroying that franchise further.
Going undefeated in the division is very impressive. That being said, that means they only got 2 other wins outside of it. He certainly has them on the right track though.
Cable will land a HC job elsewhere so good for him for getting out of that disaster of an organization.
As Lane Kiffin has shown, it isn't always the case that Raiders coaches only need to get out of town to become world-beaters. Still, this year has probably completely saved Cable's career, since the team was surprisingly successful despite the lunacy of the owner. As a very long-time Raider hater, I'm not sorry to see him go at all.
the raiders looked like a legitimate and respectable team for the first time in almost a decade and they want to fire the coach? al davis has completely fuckin lost it. i'm pretty sure the devil keeps him alive
RAIDERS and THINK don't belong in the same phrase... Al Davis has become a joke. With Crabtree instead of DHB they would've had winning record... CAble has done a HELL of a job there. Good luck to him for the future... PS Rumors are Crazy Al wants McDaniels... that would be a good fit in terms of character
I expect Davis to fire Cable....because it's tough to make good decisions when you have mashed potatoes for a brain.
I don't get it either. I heard a caller on NFL radio talking about how Cable is supposed to be an offensive line specialist and the Raiders' offensive line sucks...
