Cincinnati is good and all, but this is a poor start for Rutgers. They were supposed to be undefeated after this game. Going back to the Texas Bowl doesn't sound so bad now.

Rutgers will be alright. Anyone who thought they'd contend for a BCS bowl this year is nuts. They really miss the graduates on OL, Stephenson & Stapleton. Meekins and Devraun Thompson were never adequately replaced. On top of that you don't find a Brian Leonard in every recruiting class. Figure on a loss to WVU, but they don't look so imposing anymore. They have to be carefull against South Florida, UCONN, and even Louisville. Should be another small bowl game in January. Just a tiny step back, but in the long run it keeps the program on the rise. There's some talent coming in next year, and these kids on the OL will get better.
