I was just thinking after reading some of hydro articles, Houston last season, "the 6-foot, 220-pounder started four games for an injured Curtis Martin and finished with 302 yards and two touchdowns on 81 carries." thats 3.7 average per yard. My point is, we all know how bad the Oline was last year and houston did extremely good considering the situation. Outside of getting Bush, we really do not have to look for a rb until later rounds. Just a thought.
This year, I have no problem with Curtis and Cedric carring the load. But when Martin retires, I really dont think Houston can be the go to guy out of the backfield. With pick 29, I would have no problem taking Lendale White or Morecy from Minn.
If we do take a RB at #29 I would like Maroney. He has good speed, catches the ball well and runs hard. I would take him or D. Williams. I'm not to sure about White's abilty. MParty7441, who the hell is Morecy? Damn noob learn your players.
If DeAngelo or Maroney are there at #29, is see no reason why we could pass. I think both of them are going to be stars
Uhmmm... if one of those 3 are available at 29... ya can't pass on em. Houston isn't a proven back and he has some exhaustion disability or some shit... also just got in a car accident. Just a thought.
My guess is this is Cmarts last year and Blaylock is not in our future, so I expect to nab a RB with our 29, and address depth in next yr's FA.
Jerious Norwood with pick #97 (comp in 3rd round) Thunder-N'-Lightning... Norwood and Houston could compliment each other very nicely; change of pace. Norwood is a speedy runner who uses his vision well, and Houston is a downhill, power runner
