Its been kinda slow lately so i wanted to ask your guys' opinion on Washington. we all know he is small and undersized, same thing was said about another fsu rb named Dunn. Dunn has done pretty well in the league especially with a tough downhill runner like Duckett on the roster splitting carries and field time. You guys think that possibly after C-mart retires we would have the same type of rb tandem as the Falcons with Houston being the tough back while Washington doing what Dunn does. I could see this happening and being a success. What you guys think??
I see us using it similar to and I like what we have, but right now I think the Jags are the heirs to that thrown with Greg Jones and Maurice Drew
Yeh but not for too much longer, he is getting up there in age and Jones played well as a starter last year and Drew is built like a mini tank with sprinter speed
Yeah, but Duckett sucks and never runs. You're basically saying Washington would be an every-down back like Dunn.
I never said Duckett sucks, YOU said he sucks. Therefore your last statement is your opinion not mine. I personally think of duckett as a decent back who can have a productive 10-15 carries a game.
i hope not. Duckett sucks guy is a huge bust for a 1st rd pick. and is soft for a power back. if thats what houston turns into that were gonna be like atlanta who has tryed to trade duckett the past 2 offsasons and got no takers..
It really could happen especially since neither can be every down backs-Houston has a respiratory problem and cant have much more than 15 carries a game and Washington will get too banged up, but if he is the next Warrick Dunn we just got a steal-Dunn is probably the most underrated back in the NFL
Houston is good, but i dont really Washington being more than a change of pace getting only about 7-12 touches per game.I dont really see the Dunn comparison because Dunn was expected to be very good he was a first rounder 12th overall. If he turns out to be that, that would great but i dont expect it.
You can't compare Leon Washington to Warrick Dunn. Dunn only weighs 180 pounds he's the smallest running back in the NFL. Washington is 20 Lbs heaver with out going through any stregth and conditioning. There are dozens of other players you can compare him to, that make a lot more sense.
Leon Washington is going to show off for all you haters.... If you've never seen him play then you can't talk ;o
I've seen him i see a couple of Florida State games the past couple of yeras and its just that he has never dominated or shown any glipmse of being more than a backup. Plus he only ran for like 400 yards this year and was playing in all of them.
just because he has something to prove doesnt mean hes gonna be good....thats kinda like the chris russo mentality..he thinks whenever a team "needs the game" theyre gonna win.....hes such a retard
