Jets | C. Houston in car accident
    Sat, 22 Apr 2006 20:44:33 -0700

The Associated Press reports New York Jets RB Cedric Houston was injured in a one-car accident Friday evening, April 21. He was treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening and released. Houston was a passenger in a car that went up an embankment on a rural stretch of Interstate 40, about 50 miles west of Knoxville, Tennessee, and hit a tree stump. Charges were not immediately filed against the driver.

remember that player we had that got in a horrible bike accident? i think he was a safety, and the Jets kept him on their roster with a minimum salary so he could afford his treatment?

Jaime Henderson. We ended up paying him something upward of $300,000 a year to be inactive.

Is it f-ed up that the first thing I thought was... "Does this mean we should trade up for Bush?"

I'm pretty sure life threatening would include being flung out of the car...but glad to hear he is ok.

According to sources with the New York Jets Media Relations Department, the injuries he sustained could cause him to miss the beginning of training camp. (hydro51)

That really sucks, I can see us getting a rb at #29 now (hopefully not White)

Sounds like he was not even smart enough to be wearing a seat belt.

That is correct cause where I live it is MANDATORY to wear a seat belt or pay almost $300.00 for a fine for not wearing it. Stop making excuses for the guy. Stupid is as stupid does.
