First, thanks to everyone on TGG. Especially on days like today it is good to come on here and vent, disect, and talk about the loss. I have been a member since January and it has been the best place to learn new information about the Jets. Second, I decided to make a thread with this post which I don't normally do. I'm not a big fan of making new threads because there always seems to be the same thing said in every one. Coming into this season all the so called "experts" had us from 29-32 in the power rankings. We had to listen to these experts tell us that we were a rebuilding team who would struggle to win games and probably finish last in the AFC East. Through all of this it seemed like most people on this site didn't buy into it. We were optimistic in the sense that we felt that we would win 7-8 games especially with the schedule. However, as the first few games progressed our expectations grew. Were we a playoff team? Could we take advantage of this easy schedule and maybe get 9-11 wins. These expectations have gone up and down with every game. We have seen Leon Washington be dubbed as the next Curtis Martin and we have seen Pennington make his way back and lead this team to a solid start. Going into the bye week halfway into the season I believe that we are playing much better than expected. I feel great about this team going into the future. Although the mood is sad and frustrated here today we should all take a step back and realize what this team has accomplished. This in no way means that we should have lost today. However, looking at the expectations for this team I am very pleased and I feel everybody should be. Although I will feel the same range of feeling as everyone else. I will rejoice with their wins and sulk with their losses I believe that after this season we will be able to take a step back and label this season a success.
gratz on your 1000th. I agree whole-heartedly. I am very proud of my Jets and appreciate fellow football fans showing respect to where this franchise is heading long term. Just wait until Mangini gets some 'horses'!
