O'Brien had great year with the Jets in 1985. He also made the Pro Bowl in 1991. He was mediocre that year, but got in after three(?) other guys decided to pass on attending the game.

5 Pro Bowls for Namath - definintely overrated!!!

Vince Lombardi called Namath the best passer he ever saw, but what the hell did he know?????

Was Walker completely blind in one eye? I heard he had some vision in it.

He did. He was legally blind but had some periphial vision, even if I can't spell it, he had it. And fast as a motherfucker.

O'Brien was great his first year and a half as starter, 11-5 in 85 and 10-1 in 86, was drawing comparisons to John Unitas. Boomer in 93 had us with the #1 offense halfway through the year with Coslet, then we ran into some good teams and bad weather. Todd in 81 and 82 was worthy, but there were guys like Dan Fouts who were better.
