Loved this kids enthusiasm when he got drafted - seems he was just as excited about getting signed. Can't wait to see what he brings to the table for us.

Can't be the right numbers. No way a 2nd rounder gets thar contract under the new system. 4 yrs, 5 million makes more sense.

That number seems sky high for Coples, much less a second round rookie...

Nope, I'm sorry. It's a 4-year deal worth $5 million total. Sorry for the confusion. $2.8M guaranteed was right.

    Thats more right

The numbers are clearly wrong, Cam Newton signed for 4 years 22 million.

    Ventras is retarded.

I've edited the OP for clarity. Vrentas actually got it right and then retracted a "mistype" when Manish went public with 4 yrs at 20 mil.

Meanwhile, Cimini tweets about Coples being an "all or nothing" pick. Sigh.

If he reaches half of his potential within 3 years we'll all be calling this contract an absolute steal.

And yet she keeps beating Cimini and Manish on breaking news. Damn, our beat writers are weak...

Not at all, Ive seen countless times on Twitter where all she does is report something 15 minutes after our other reporters like Costello or Manish report something. This is one of the rarer times shes actually gotten info ahead of everyone else.
