It took Brett Favre coming to NY for people to realize how good he is. I hope he gets the credit he deserves.
Did he make up for that fumble or what? Our best weapon. And hey, how bout LC today? One hell of a game making a bunch of tough catches.
I said it in the game thread. If Leon's not in the Pro Bowl, as either a KR or a RB or SOMETHING the whole game should be scrapped. He's the biggest (figuratively, not literally) playmaker in the league this season..
There are some players on the Jets right now that are bringing a lot to this team: Favre obviously and Jenkins and Keller. But the team MVP right now, in my opinion, has to be Leon. He is our only player capable of completely taking the air out of the other team. Re-signing him for next season has to be top priority.
You know, it's weird, but I agree. Favre makes everyone on offense better. Jenkins makes everyone on defense better. But Leon makes huge plays at the most important moments, turning tight games into blowouts, and toss-ups into sure wins... He's incredible
I almost never watch games the Jets don't play in, so I'm not an expert on the rest of the league. I know that in the last draft Chris Johnson was the fastest player and Leon looked faster. And Jamaal Charles was supposed to be track star and Leon looked faster in the KC game. Regardless of what his 40 time is, Leon may be the fastest player in the league with the ball in his hands.
I seem to remember during the broadcast, on the replay of Leon's big 61-yard TD, they actually clocked him at 22 mph! I didn't think human beings could run that fast.
They wanted to kill him... I think it was Bullock (who has about 7 inches and 60lbs on Leon) who stayed on top of him and was talking trash early in on our last TD drive... It takes a real big man to talk trash to a 5'8 RB while he's on the ground- especially when he just punked your D for 60+ yards, and was on his way to another TD later that drive....
thats pure frustration on Bullocks part.... good to see the Jets under their skin, but Bullock crossed a line- I hope the NFL gets him for that.
i forget where i saw it this year...i think it was on MNF or a nationally televised game....but they had reggie bush at 22 MPH as well. same with Leodis McKelvin of the bills
