Could have tied the game. Herm decides to go for the win. Loses the game. If Herman Edwards is back in KC next season I will be shocked. That was a horrible call. Sure your team is 1-6 and 1 win isn't going to help much but Herm is absolutely crushing the confidence of his players. You live to fight another day... Yet Herm was able to snatch the sweet sweet taste of victory away from his fans and his players once again. Thank God Herman Edwards is no longer here!!
Yeah what a moron. Some people here are quick to bitch about Mangini's stubborness but we're all lucky that buffoon Herm isn't at the controls anymore.
I think he made the right call. The last drive by KC was pretty much the only drive of the 2nd half that KC was able to move the ball. You're 1-7 on the road against a division opponent, why wouldn't you? The call depends on the success. Everyone was lauding Shanahan when he did the same thing against SD earlier in the season because it worked. Then, Shanny was "gutsy."
herm is an idiot no matter what he does. i give him a little bit of credit though at least he grew something to put in that sack between his legs.
I disagree w/ the call but a few weeks back everyone celebrated when Mike Shanahan did the same thing. I think it was dumb but how does Shanahan get praised and Herm get ridiculed for it?
