He mentioned Willie Roaf and that he still thinks he might come back. He also mentioned that he thinks the defence has improved but the more important thing is improving the Chiefs' record in Nov and Dec because its been bad the last few seasons...
He might want to worry about winning in September and October. The beginning of the Chiefs schedule is pretty brutal. He will have a tough job there especially if Roaf stays retired. Thats a very old team that could get very old fast. It was in Herms 2nd year with the jets when the team had to be gutted and put into constant rebuilding mode. It would not be suprising to see the same thing happen to the Chiefs next year. I like the Jets talent better than I like the Chiefs talent. The jets are much younger and have been in rebuilding mode for 5 years now. With good QB play they might have a promising future. I don't like the short term or long term outlook for the Chiefs unless their defense can improve. Roaf is retired and their other lock 1st ballot HoF player, Sheilds, is close to retirement. Take those two out of the equation and their offense is much worse.
