So this game can turn out to be excellent for us. QW will be out for the next two on concussion protocol, and he seems to be the glue right now. Colts can be locked in and sit starters again ask the Jags Bears have an outside chance, and they have a great defense, but they CAN shit the bed. We can STILL get TL AND we can get more for Darnold after this game. He showed better decision making, got rid of the ball quickly, and avoided sacks. He played well against the too rated defense (in the last few weeks) in the league. We don’t have to be an all time remembered terrible team. We are soooo used to disappointment that we have ALREADY given up. As a Jets fan, I’m used to shrugging off the pain and moving forward. It ain’t over until it’s OVER. that being said; I think MARRONE is safe and is in on the tank. So we are likely fucked. Carry on...
The only saving grace is that Jacksonville has been pretty competitive (outside of that Baltimore buzz saw) and the Bears defense has been trash since Akiem Hicks has been playing hurt. I don't expect the Jaguars to win another game but I wouldn't be shocked if they do.
What you're seeing - in spades - on the site since yesterday is the proof that NY (the metro area) is really a "glass half empty" place. To a real NY'er (and I lived there for 40 years) a pessimist is just a poser optimist. You want dark live in NY for a few years, that's enough to turn Pollyanna into a doomsdayer. Forget trying to brighten anyone's day here. Embrace the darkness!
Maybe having hope in JetNation is just a futile endeavor. We're supposed to either be mediocre OR flat out suck. There's no such thing as being relevant anymore and hasn't been in over a decade now. If Chris can't find anyone to hire, God forbid he lets JD do the hiring, he'll keep his buttbuddy Gase around since he's in love with him. That way, Gase can still "coach the Jets the way the Jets are headed". We all know where that is don't we.. If not, you need your head examined by Dr. Atlas.
"Well, we committed 24 errors and their pitcher threw a no hitter against us. But there is some good news. Two of our runners almost reached 1st base and we did hit 13 foul balls." Alfred Ogilvie
