Heilman to the Cubs?

    Traded twice within the span of a month and a half.

    In exchange for Heilman, the Mariners will receive shortstop Ronny Cedeno and a minor-league pitcher, according to major-league sources. Heilman, long coveted by Cubs general manager Jim Hendry, will compete for the Cubs' fifth-starter job or pitch out of their bullpen.

    I don't get the point of the trade from the Mariners standpoint. They don't need a shortstop, they have Betancourt. However, they have NO DH, and theyre first baseman is Russell Branyan...ha cha cha cha cha.

    hendry reportedly has liked heilman for a while, but do you think they spin him off to the pads in a peavy deal??

    I like Garrett Olson. I don't know why the O's traded him. Or why the Cubs traded him. Haha.
